"Continue with the story Hagrid, we're listening."

"Maybe it will be easier if you see them for yourself." Hagrid got up, shaking the hut slightly. From beneath the table he retrieved a small wooden box, which opened to reveal a few glass vials. A silvery, shining substance was floating inside. Hagrid gently picked up one labelled "Ivy", and put it in Harry's hand.

"Dumbledore let me use the Pensieve sometimes, for my memories an' that. It's better if you just watch, then you'll know everythin'."

Much to Harry's surprise, Hagrid brought out the Pensieve itself; it was exactly how he remembered it. With a sudden wave of sickening nerves, Harry remembered the last time he had used this – it felt like a lifetime away. Slowly he uncorked the vial, and poured it into the Pensieve, which swirled hypnotically as black ink. With one look at Ron, Neville and Hagrid, Harry dunked his head in.

An ice cold sensation swept past his face: he opened his eyes, and there Hagrid was. Despite being younger, he was still the size of a large car, and looked incredibly threatening in the dark skyline and spitting rain. Harry began to walk with the younger Hagrid, trailing behind him slightly. Soon Hagrid reached Azkaban, and Harry was fully immersed into his memories...

"Er, Hello Sir, I just wanted to ask if any of your prisoners have had a baby recently."

Harry tried to supress a laugh. Hagrid was never a subtle man.

The man at the reception lifted his head, and Harry could see a small badge that read the name Jack Croft. Harry had sworn he heard the name before, but couldn't put his finger on it....

"A baby? Where did you find a baby?" Jack seemed alarmed, staring Hagrid dead in the eye, causing him to shift uncomfortably.

"I never said I found a baby, but let's say I did. Whose could it be? I know it's a prison an' that, but every baby has a ma, and little Ivy's all alone and-" Hagrid clamped his hand to his mouth. He'd said too much.

To his surprise, Jack calmly responded. "I'll be back very shortly Sir, give me one moment." He swiftly left, leaving Hagrid on his own.
But the way in which Jack had looked at Hagrid wasn't right; something was wrong.
With as much grace as he could, he began tiptoeing down the corridor, intent on following Jack.

Down the darkening corridors he went, until he heard a voice; it was Jack. Hagrid looked through the door, which was ajar enough for him to see Jack standing by the fireplace. He seemed to be talking to someone.

"Some giant of a man has turned up, and he knows, he knows about Ivy. How could you have let this happen? No one was supposed to know!"

"It's Hagrid, the oaf that works at Hogwarts. What did he say?" A raspy woman's voice could be heard, coming from the fireplace.

"He's asking who she belongs to – how does he even know what she's called? You were supposed to be careful, you told me no one would find her except the dark lord, but 5 minutes she's outside and someone from Hogwarts has found her! What if he goes to Dumbledore, what if this comes back to me-?"

"Oh shut up you selfish man. You agreed to help, you said you wanted to see the Dark Lord rise again, so remain true to what you said and get a grip. I put her name on the blanket, Voldemort needs to know what to call his loyal servant. But how will she get away from Hogwarts? Ivy... Ivy..."

The woman began frantically whispering her daughter's name, whilst Jack began pacing.

"You've got to use the charm I told you. The latastei part of her will let you do so. She will be summoned to your house, and then you will go take her to the place we originally agreed; it must've not worked first time, if that idiot of a man managed to find her. Once you do so, you will be free and the Dark Lord will rise again. Understood?"

Jack had stopped pacing, but didn't respond. "UNDERSTOOD?!" The woman screeched like a banshee. The demonic tone to her voice nearly caused the hairs on Hagrid's arm to stand on end, as though they had been electrocuted.

"Yes Miss Lestrange, understood."

A large whooshing sound indicated the woman in the fireplace was gone. Hagrid stood rooted to the spot, too shocked to move. He had just heard Bellatrix Lestrange, known Death Eater and murderer.

And he had brought her daughter right into Hogwarts.

The scene began to morph into ink droplets once more, and Harry lifted his head, returning back to reality.
