After a good old hunt with the pack I created, I went over to a patch of grass and fell asleep. I have no clue how long I was asleep, or what happened during that time, but when I awoke, I was not in the forest. I was in what looked like the middle of the street. And I was cold. And I couldn't feel my tail. My eyelids flew open, and I realized I was back to being a human. I did not like it. I was used to being a wolf for many years, and I had enjoyed my family there. My mom was dead for all I knew, and as sad as it was when it first happened, I no longer cared. I had allowed myself to let go of everything in my past. Good riddance, to the life I used to call my own! My only problem; that life was back. And I liked it. But there was no way I was leaving my wolves in the forest. I tried to head back to it, but I was surrounded by buildings. And from the corner of my eye, I saw a dead animal. I moved closer and discovered it was wolf. My old body. I knelt next to former Kiyia and cried. My soul ripped apart. My brain was stomped on. My feet felt like lead, and I swore that whoever did this would never see the light of day ever again. My one and only true friend was dead. And I could not help but blame myself. I should have paid more attention to my surroundings earlier. I was a disgrace to every wolf in the entire world. Nothing would stop the pain I was feeling now. It was unfathomable. I felt incomplete, and I felt unwanted. I closed my eyes and forced myself to sleep.
