"Come on, we're gonna be late for dinner." I say tugging at logans hand. He decided a walk home would be more romantic. I'd've rather driven.

"Ah come on Ace, lighten up, where's the girl I stole a boat with?"

"Rotting in her jail cell, now let's hurry, you know luke gets mad when the food gets cold."

"He gets mad at everything though."

"Yes and this is one of them. The whole point of this trip was to spend time with my mom, as much as I do love a romantic stroll."

"That wasn't actually the whole point."

"What're you not telling me?"

"Calm down Gilmore, everything comes together eventually." He smiles and leads me down Whitaker Street.

"We're going the wrong direction."

"We'll get there."

"Please just let me lead, we'll get there faster. Dinner starts in 7 minutes."

"Don't worry, I pushed it back to 8:30, nothing's getting cold."

"You're intentionally leading us astray?" I ask with an eyebrow up.

"Who said it was astray?" He says and stops walking. I look around at the street then back at him. We're standing in front of the twickam house.

"Why'd we stop?" I ask him looking around.

"A couple weeks back, during our last visit, before I applied for the job, I was talking to Luke, he was telling me about some thing Taylor had done or something, and it led into this conversation about irritating people somehow-" he starts and I laugh.

"I wonder how it got to that topic." I sarcastically add.

"Anyway, I was telling him about something dumb Collin and Finn had done, this huge blow out in my parents house, a crystal vase got thrown into a wall, big hole, not important, and he was trying to one up it, says when he and lorelai started going out he was trying to buy this house for her and Taylor had turned it into a museum that he helped set up, really funny, but I had had this application filled out at the apartment but I figured It'd be nothing. But he was saying how Taylor made such a big deal about it yet the house still never sold. I guess I was curious, I looked it up and had it inspected, it's in perfect shape, so I humored myself and sent in the application, and I got the job. It's in Hartford...and I'd never be considering this because your jobs in New York, but there's a promotion to traveling reporter that's up and then you'd only have to go up to New York once or twice a month. And with your mom so close by I thought it might just work out perfectly...."

"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" I slowly ask.

"I put the down payment down this weekend, it's yours if you want it." He says and holds up a set of keys.

"You've really thought this out huh?"

"Believe it or not I do know you pretty well, you've always wanted to come back here, that's why we seem to visit every month, it's home to you, and your mom and all your friends are here. New York's great but it's no stars hollow, especially with the baby, a baby needs a home."

"With a backyard to play in."

"And a treehouse." He adds smiling. I nod and try to let it sink in. A house. In Stars hollow...

"I love it..."

"Yeah?" He asks.

"Yeah, Logan it's perfect!" I say grinning, he smiles widely and kisses me.

"Oh my god you bought me a house!" I say giddish.

"Come on, you haven't even seen the inside."

"Actually I saw it when Taylor turned it into a muese- oh my god! There's still not a hole in the middle of the floor is there?" I say and he laughs.

"No, thankfully that's been fixed." He says and unlocks the door. It's so much bigger than I remember. We walk through the house, pointing out where a couch could go, or what color scheme would match the wood and then we get to the bedrooms.

"What're we gonna do with all these rooms?" I ask.

"Well there's the master, and one for the baby, and I thought until we have more kids the other three can be guest rooms for Collin, Robert and Finn."

"More kids?" I ask.

"Eventually I'd like to think so." He says and I smile.

"Well what do you picture?"

"At least two, a girl and a boy, maybe a third if the first two work out, and a dog, a golden retriever, or something playful, I've always wanted a dog, and birthday parties, with cake and bounce houses and twister, and once a week we'll sit down and watch a movie together, roast marshmallows in the winter, sell lemonade in the summer, and the house will have a library, like Richards, with too many books to read, and we'll mark their heights on a doorway.."

"Where'd all that come from? I didn't even know you were thinking about it all."

"I've been thinking about it since Yale Rory, when I said I wanted to spend my life with you I wasn't lying, we're building a life, I wanna make it perfect. The first step was asking you to marry me, the second was buying the house, the rest is up to us, that's just how I pictured it."

He says seriously while holding my hands in his. I never realized how committed he actually was. It's like a dream, the house, the kids, growing up in stars hollow, going to Luke's for breakfast before school, dance lessons at miss pattys, snowman building contests and dance-a-thons. I'd always pictured it growing up, I let go of it for a while but it's all coming back together. I didn't even have to tell him, he just knew....

"Logan..?"

"Hm?"

"Marry me."

"I am, ace what're you talking about?"

"Now, I don't want to wait anymore, we already missed out on 10 years, I don't want to spend another day not married to you. Will you marry me?"

"Are you serious?" He asks, his eyes lighting up.

"You jump I jump jack."
