Logan's POV
"Everyone move faster! We've got a deadline to make! The chairs go 7 to a table, not-oh no! No Babette that's 8! That's 8! People can we please stay calm and count correctly, countdown Tee minus 4 hours!" Kirk blares into his megaphone as he stands in the center of it all at the gazebo. I walk over to him and motion for him to come in closer.
"Hey Kirk?" I quietly ask.
"Yes?"
"Maybe we could ease up a little bit? Everyone's working hard." I say.
"But we want everything to be perfect."
"Yes I know we do, but it'll get there. Let's just...-" I say and slowly put my hands on his megaphone and take it out of his hands.
"But how will people hear me? You said I could be in charge."
"Trust me, they'll hear ya buddy." I say and walk away with the megaphone. It started with just me and the boys setting up tables in the courtyard. One by one people came to help. They all wanted to make it perfect for Rory. Miss Patty and Babette brought anything and everything that's shimmers and shines, Kirk graciously offered to be in charge as he 'has many managing experience such as being the CEO of many small start ups' and then proceeded to try to sell me his latest product, kale Popsicles. 'Kale is all the latest craze' he commented. Taylor made sure we didn't break any zoning laws and Lane put Steve and Kwan to work moving tables and chairs while she and zack set up band equipment and sound systems. Around 1 Luke brought free coffee and donuts for everyone working. It was all slowly coming together. The snow seems to be sticking since the temperature won't seem to rise. Collin and Robert have taken it upon themselves to 'decorate' the area by building snowmen.
"They're festive, don't you think it looks more like a winter wonderland now?" Robert said.
"Reminds me of my trip to the alps." Collin chimed in. I left them to it just as they started to dress the snowmen up and went to help Finn in Miss Patty's. We were thinking of just getting married in the church but I know that's just not Rory. Not that she's against churches, she's just never been drawn to them. And when Miss patty graciously offered the space, I thought it'd be perfect. The aisle is lined with a white walkway, with peony petals on the sides. At the front of the studio stands the Chuppah Luke had told me he made for lorelai's wedding, he wanted Rory to have it now. All the chairs are already in place, Finn is wrapping the Chuppah in greenery and small string lights. I reach down into the basket of flowers on the floor and start to put a few on it as well.
"It's really something isn't it?" Finn says looking around at all the progress.
"Yeah, I can't believe we're actually pulling this off."
"It doesn't sound so strange to me, if anyone could do this, you could."
"I wouldn't have been able to without all of ya'll's help. The whole town really."
"They sure do love reporter girl eh?"
"Yeah, she's something special."
"Are you afraid?"
"Afraid of what?" I say as I wrap a string of lights.
"Being committed. No more wild parties or drinking before noon. The endless women, the champagne and private jets. You can't go jumping out of planes anymore mate. You have a responsibility not to die, you've never had that before."
"Yeah, it sounds scary on paper but I've never had anything like this before either. Being with someone is so much more than all of that white noise. And yeah I'll miss staying up all night at clubs and flying to Milan for the weekend but I think in a way that part of our lives has been ending for a while now. We're not 25 anymore, if I jump out of a plane I'm gonna have a crick in my neck for the next two weeks and complain about it to you."
"Unless you bloody hit the pavement again." He jokes. I shake my head in disapproval but I'm still smiling.
"Point is, my father used to sa-"
"The dark lord himself?" Finn inquires. I nod and continue.
"Yeah, so My father used to tell me that there's a time in everyone's life when they need to grow up. As much as I hate to agree with him, he's right. Whether it's because we're too old to handle it or we'd rather stay at home to watch tv with our wives, one day or the next we're all gonna need to make that change. And I'm all for letting loose and having a fun time once or twice a year but from now on, my family's my first priority, and that doesn't scare me. I always thought it would but it doesn't. I can't wait to be married to her." I say and he looks down to the ground and continues to string garland.
"Finn?"
"Yeah?"
"You'll find it too." I say and pat him on the back before walking back out to check on the progress in the town square. I look at my watch. Three more hours.

Rory's POV
1/2 hour till the wedding"Goodness Gilmore you couldn't have waited until after the baby was born?" Paris asks as we zip up my dress.
"No, I couldn't. I want to be married."
"Why? You practically already are, it's just a piece of paper."
"It's more than that Paris. It's the feeling of finally getting to say, it's official, I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with this person." I say as I put on my shoes.
"Well I think it's romantic." Lane chimes in as she walks out of the bathroom in her bridesmaid dress. We had to improvise but we found some light green dresses in the backs of our closets that matched really well.
"Thank you lane, see she gets it." I say and Paris rolls her eyes before going into the bathroom to change. I tuck a loose strand of hair away and look in the mirror.
"Well? What do you think?" I ask lane.
"You're the most beautiful bride I've ever seen."
"Lane!!" I say and give her a side hug. Then my mom comes in.
"Oh honey." She says and walks over slowly. She adjusts a strap and takes a step back to look at me.
"Mom." I say on the verge of tears.
"Don't cry, if you cry then I'll cry and we'll both have to redo our makeup." She says on the verge as well.
"You don't even know what I'm feeling right now but you will when you're a mother. I can't describe how proud I am of you. And sad, You don't need me anymore."
"Oh come on, you know I'll always need you."
"I know, it's just....my baby's getting married. I don't think you're ever ready for that." She says and lightly dabs under her eyes with a Kleenex.
We hear a knock at the door and we go to open it. I see Finn standing at the door in a old fashioned tux with a tail and a tall black top hat. Very Finn. He's leaning against the doorway.
"M'ladies." He says and takes off his hat as he bows to us.
"I'm here to escort you to the days festivities. You're carriage awaits." He says and stands aside. We look behind him and see 2 horse drawn carriages from the Inn. I look over my shoulder at my mom.
"What? They asked, I provided." She says and I walk over and hug her. We hold on too long but we don't care. When we pull apart she straightens my veil and grabs our coats.
"It's like a fairytale." My mom says as she sits next to me in the carriage on the ride over to the wedding.
"Yeah, yeah it really is."
