We started again on the journey, Mr. Beaver in the lead, then Lucy and I, then Peter and Susan.

Soon we reached a snowy rock mountain and started climbing. Round about half way, we heard sleighbells. I spun around but did not see Jadis, I saw a red sleigh with a man in a red suite and a long white beard, driving towards is. I started backing away, when Lucy cried "Santa!" As she ran up to the sleigh as it stopped and hugged the man.

I still was uneasy when someone placed a hand on my shoulder. I glanced up and saw Peter. "Have you ever heard of Santa?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Well, then it is due time that you did."  He said pulling me by my wrist. Santa and Lucy stoped  hugging and he started to hand out gifts.

"The eldest, Peter Penvis, High King of Narnia." Peter stepped forward. "Great things shall come from you, this sword and sheild was crafted by Aslan's best blacksmith. You will need it when you are king."

"High Queen, Suzan Penvis, to you I give a bow that will never miss its target. I pray that you will never have to use it."

"The youngest of the four, Queen Lucy Penvis. To you I give the juice of the fire flower. The juice will heal the victim's of any injury, and of chouse a dagger, for defending yourself. War tis' not a place for woman, so you must not fight it."

"The only one of Narnian and human blood, Hannah Dlamini, Aslan's gift to you is this cloak, for it is the cloak of protection and of course I give you a sword, if still need be to protect yourself, which I doubt because the group has great affection for you."

Cloak.
"Why may we not fight?" Lucy asked almost angrily.

"A war turns ugly when women fight. Well, since there was no Christmas for a hundred years, now I have to make up for lost time. Farewellyour majesties!" He laughed his merry 'ho-ho-ho,' as he drove off in his sleigh.

"Come on. The lake is melting, we better get going," Peter said resting a hand on my shoulder and then walking on. Lucy and Suzan shared a look and then looked at their brother and followed suit.

We started slowly and cautiously walking across the ice when I slipped and fell on my rear. We all started laughing at my misfortune and Peter and Suzan helped me up.

In our fits of laughter we heard sleighbells again and charging wolves.

We turned around and saw Jadis in her sleigh and wolves running ahead of her straight at us.

We started sprinting to the other side when the thin ice started to crack under the pressure.

If this situation as any worse, which it became, someone would have died.

We were all on a small piece of ice. Just large enough to fit us all. The water of the water fall was going to drown us all.

"Hold on to me!" Peter demanded. I grabbed him around his waist and he plunged his sword deep into the ice, just when the waterfall broke.

The force easily pushed our ice raft to the other side and we got off. My brown straight hair came out of its plat and glued itself to my forehead.

Then we realised. Lucy was missing. I started panicking and frantically searched the water as Suzan and Peter called for her.

"Has anyone seen my coat?"came the small girlish voice belonging to Lucy.

Peter laughed in relief and I released the breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Well, my arse is frozen, may we please keep moving so that we don't die of frostbite?" I said sarcastically and walked through the trees.

"Spring is returning." I said with a smile.
