When Harry woke up the next morning he heard Nialls loud snores very close to his ear. He sighed and sat up. He felt sad. This sometimes happened to Harry. He often got sad for no reason. And most of the time, it took him months to shake.
Harry threw his legs over the side of the bed and his feet connected with the cold wood floor. It sent chills up his spine. He hated it. He hated feeling any other emotion or sensation when he felt this way. In a way he sort of wanted the sadness to absorb him, all of him. A part of him never wanted to escape this feeling, because if he did he would have to return to the real world, and the unknown is more terrifying than the known.
As he made his way down stairs he heard his mother in the kitchen. Yet again he felt an unbearable sadness rush over him. His mother and him hadn't really had a good conversation since he came out as gay. She didn't accept him, and she probably never would. But she put on this front, to help with her guilt one could assume.
"Good morning Harry." she said in a monotone voice.
"Good morning mother." Harry said while grabbing a water out of the fridge.
They gave each other a look of mutual hate before harry trotted back up the stairs where he originated from.
When he returned he saw that Niall had woken up.
"Hey man, sorry if I woke you up, I was dying of thirst." Harry said
"You're okay dude, I should probably head out, I didn't even tell my mom I was staying over." He replied.
"Sounds good, text me later." Harry called out while taking a seat in his desk chair.
Niall gathered his things and left and then Harry was left alone with only his thoughts.
His mind swirled to him. No, not Louis Tomlinson. The guy before Louis, because there's always a really shitty heartbreak before you find your true love. Right?
At least that's what Louis hoped, hell that's what we all hope.
His name was plain and boring. It was such a basic name, yet it held so many emotions for Harry. His name was George Parker.
And to be completely honest, he still owned Harrys heart. Harry thought he might always own his heart. But he continued to put on the façade to act like he had moved on, because it had been one year. Harry knew his friends were tired of hearing about the one and only George Parker, so he stopped bringing it up. He kept all the emotions in and dealt with it himself. Maybe that's why he fell into these depressions.
Harrys heart slowly broke while sitting in his computer chair, just like it had done so many times before.
He wanted so badly to be over him, but that would never be possible without some healing.
Harry sat there over two hours feeling sorry for himself until he finally got a text message from Louis, which brightened his mood just a tad.
It read "Hey, I'm about to head over. Should I bring anything? Pizza? drinks?"
"i already ate but thanks. ill see ya soon" harry replied.
Harrys nerves were going through the roof. He had completely forgotten about louis coming over this evening to work on their project.
He scrambled to get ready. He put on his best pair skinny jeans and a black tee shirt and started cramming dirty clothes anywhere they would fit. He quickly cleaned up his room and had just enough time to perfect his hair before the doorbell sounded.
"Ill get it!" He yelled to his parents while running down the stairs to answer the door.
He took a few deep breaths and swung the door open.
There he was, Louis Tomlinson, as handsome as ever.
"Hello Harold." He said with a smile.
"Hello Lewis" Harry said jokingly.
Louis gave a light laugh then harry gestured him to come in. He directed him up the stairs and down the hall to his bed room.
"Well its nothing special, but this is pretty much the chilliest spot in my house so.." He trailed off with a laugh.
"I dig it styles."
Harrys heart did a small flip.
Louis pulled out his history book form his bag and turned to the page about roman art.
"Ready to get this over with?" He asked.
"Hell yes."
as they worked through the project louis stomach was going crazy with a million butterflies dancing around. He had never felt like this. He felt so obligated to impress harry. He had even studied the night before so he could look smart in front of the curly haired lad. He had also asked zayn some more questions about him. He had found out that Harry had dated one of Zayns close friends, George. Louis had never really hit it off with George, he had always gotten a shitty vibe from him. Zayn informed Louis that things ended pretty sour between him and George and Harry hadn't dated since. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to slide in and get with Harry and come out to the school, but louis was way to terrified to take it.
After three hours of working on the project they finally completed it.
"Honesty that was annoyed as hell and I'm so happy were done." Louis said
" I couldn't agree more. Thanks for actually helping with it. Usually people just have me do the whole project and just put there name on it."
Louis actually felt some anger build up in his chest. How could people walk all over such a sweet boy? He was defiantly catching some feelings for the boy and that scared the hell out of him.
" Of course harry. I had a good time hanging out and working on it with you. Maybe next time we hang out, we could not do school work?" Louis said questioningly
"Yeah, I would really like that." Harry replied trying to keep his cool.
In the inside both boys were freaking out, but neither of then would show it.
When Louis left that night Harry actually didn't feel sad anymore, he felt hopeful.
