Luke sat in his car of his best friend, Edward, parking lot of his condominium. Edward and Luke met back in middle school, seventh grade to be exact. The way they met isn't the typical friendship story. In fact, before they were friends, they were sworn enemies because they wanted the same girl. The girl was considered the baddest back in seventh grade and everybody wanted her. Her name was Savannah, a cute little white girl that was adored by everyone. The two boys were in constant competition with each other for her attention. But, turns out Savannah had a boyfriend the whole time. She was using the poor boys for gifts and spent all the money they boys gave her on her boyfriend. Luke and Edward put their differences aside and exposed Savannah for her fraudulent ways. She ended up moving due to everyone teasing her after that and the two boys became best buds.
Luke finally got out of his car and began to walk to Edward's condo. Edward was a choreographer for many celebrities in the industry. He went to college originally to major in business but he realized that wasn't for him.Luke got to Edward's door and knocked and patiently waited. After a few moments, the door swung open.
"Damn nigga. Knocking on my door like you the police." Edward said while walking away. Luke stepped inside of his best friend's home, closing and locking the door behind him.
"I was doing you a favor, you can't hear for shit." Luke shot back while plopping down on Edward's couch.
"Aye nigga, don't plop on my shit like that. That couch was expensive." Edward stated coming out of the kitchen. Luke laughed before sitting up from his slouched position.
"Anyways, what's going on my brother?" Luke asked. Edward sat down on his other couch and sighed.
"Man, nothing much. I got booked for Chris Brown Party Tour. Tour starts in a couple months." Luke smiled and dapped his friend up.
"Congratulations, bro." Edward smiled and thanked him. The two began to just catch up on each other's lives. Usually, they would hang out every Friday but Luke's job was getting in the way of that but it didn't change anything between them.
"How are you and Kunta?" Luke rolled his eyes at Edward's question. Edward strongly dislikes Kayla due to her attitude towards him. He never did anything to her, she just didn't like him.
"I wish you would stop calling her that. But, we are cool, I guess." Luke said and sighed. Edward turned off the TV and put his attention to his friend.
"What she do now?"
"We just not seeing eye to eye right now, that's all." Luke never said much about his relationship with Kayla around Edward. He knew all he would say was to leave her and Luke felt like he couldn't do that just yet.
"I ain't gon' tell you what to do anymore. You wanna be unhappy then I can't stop that." Edward reasoned and Luke sighed.
"Lydia hired an intern." Luke said changing the subject.
"What she look like?" Edward said quickly causing Luke to scrunch up his face.
"Damn, nigga. Thirsty ass." Luke laughed. Edward rolled his eyes.
"Answer my question."
"She's cute, nice body, she can hold an intellectual conversation." Luke shrugged. Edward started nodded his head really fast.
"Bet. Put me on." Luke looked at Edward and busted out laughing. "What you laughing for? I'm dead ass." Luke wiped the tears from his eyes and got himself together before speaking.
"Man." Luke started still giggling causing Edward to suck his teeth. "I don't think she's your type, bruh." Edward frowned at his statement.
"Nigga, you don't know my type." Luke gave Edward a look.
"Okay, let me rephrase. You're not her type." Edward shot him the bird.
"And how do you know?"
"Just from the conversation we had last night. I don't think it'll work with y'all." Luke shrugged. Edward laughed.
"Nigga, who said I want a relationship?" Luke raised his eyebrow.
"You just wanna fuck her? Fuck out of here, Ed." It was now Edward's turn to make a face.
"Why are you getting so defensive?" Luke huffed and shrugged. Edward began to smirk. "You like her, don't you?" Luke quickly shook his head.
"Nah man! She's just a nice girl and I would feel like shit putting her on to you when I know your true intentions." Luke said truthfully. He didn't like Sasha in that way. Hell, their first conversation took place last night! Edward sucked his teeth and side eyed his best friend.
"Yeah yeah whatever, nigga. Anyways." He started before picking up a gaming controller. "Come get your ass handed to you." He stated while tossing a controller to Luke. Luke shook his head and began to play.
"I'm about to molly wop that ass nigga, it's over bitch!" Luke exclaimed, reciting from a video the two watched earlier. They both busted out laughing and began to play the game.
I honestly didn't know how to end this.
How do y'all like the book? Is it too slow? Fast? Let me know.
I am trying to make it as medium paced as possible even though I really just wanna skip all of this and go straight to what the book was made for.
Hopefully, my creativeness will flow profusely so I can put out more chapters weekly.
