As we arrived, we could saw a huge building soared above to the sky. Since it's night already, this place seemed so dark, illuminated only by the moonlight. The combination from the dark color of the building and the night sky gave of strange atmosphere. For a moment, I doubted this place.
"So spooky," Elios mumbled to himself. I could saw goosebumps crawling on his skin. Yet, we got no choice. Alessa gave us responsibility and it's not like we could abandoned it because of this feeling.
On our way heading toward the building, I realized some flying object above us. It seemed like it's following us and observed us as well. I wondered what were those black bird like things. After a while, I diverted my gaze when we arrived in front of the huge door of Black Order. There was a freakin' huge face on the door. Well, that's creepy. Then, I and Elios looked at each other with an odd look toward the door.
"Umm, well, now what?" I spoke up with my right brow raised in curiosity.
"Dunno. Should we speak our matter to this.... um, face?" Elios pointed toward the huge face right in front of him.
"That's weird, but let's try it," I walked toward the door and politely greeted the door. "Hello, sir? May we talk to Mr. Komui? We have a matter to discuss." Yet, it gave no respond. Now, I felt really stupid here. Of course it is, what kind of person talk to a door with a face on it and wait for it to answer. I'm getting more embarrassed when I heard a chuckle behind me. Damn, Elios.
"What on earth are you doing, Lia?" Elios couldn't help but to laughed it out. This embarrassing situation annoyed me. As my face turned into a sour looking face, I punched Elios hand. Yet, he just couldn't stop laughing at me.
"Where did your sense go, Lia? It's a door. It's not even a livi-" In the middle of mocking me, Elios was surprised by a sudden movement. The face that I had been talking to went closer to us in a fast movement. Elios startled and fell on his butt. His eyes were fully opened and couldn't believe what he saw, totally dumbfounded.
"X-Ray Examination!" It said. A light went through from his eyes, going toward us. It only took a few second and he confirmed our identity as human. The gate to the building opened and a person came out.
It's a man wearing an exorcist uniform, just like what I had back then. He greeted us with a smile and let us in. We walked through the corridor with rooms in it. Then, we finally arrived at a room. The exorcist said that it was Komui's office. With that, he knocked the door. The door opened and I could saw a man. His purple hair was covered by a hat and his eyes were hiding behind his glasses.
When I saw this man, I could felt this tingling feeling in my chest. This place, the Black Order, and everyone here somehow made me felt emotional. Quickly, I shaked my head to stop this weird feeling.
"So, you're Elios if I pressume," that man named Komui said as he sat at his chair behind his working table. While the exorcist who lead us here went out the room, leaving us.
"Yes, I am," Elios said seriously. His eyes were sharp as he talked. Right now, I couldn't find his usual funny smile on his face.
"I see. Please take a seat, Elios. And you are?" After talking to Elios, Komui's gaze landed on me. He seemed curious and suspicious at the same time. I just remembered that I still had my hood covering my head, maybe that's what raised his suspicion.
I raised my hand and put down my hood, revealing my short white hair and my face. As I did that, his eyes went bigger. He seemed to be surprised by me. I wonder what did I just done. Why was he looking at me that way? Is it because my unusual hair color? Or is it because of my red eyes?
"My name is Lia, Elios' sister. Sorry, sir. Is there something on my face?" I asked him. After asking, he finally seemed more calmer.
"No, it's nothing. Please take a seat, Lia" he said with a smile.
Then, Elios told Komui about what happened. He told him how his mother was attacked by a Noah. While talking, his eyes showed sadness and fear. This made me once again felt sad. After telling everything, Komui asked us about the innocence which I and Elios didn't knew. When we told him so, he seemed to worry, but he quickly covered it with a smile.
Komui then told us not to worry. He had sent exorcist there to take care of everything. He reassure us that everything will be fine. He even let us stay in Black Order until things got better. Well, this man sure was kind, but there's just something bothering me all this time. It's the way this man looked at me. He gave me this kind of weird look all this time. His look was intriguing and somehow sad.
"Sir Komui, is there something matter?" I asked him in curiosity.
"Excuse me?" He asked.
"You've been staring me since the begining, is there something matter?" After I asked that question, silence confronted us. Komui's eyes now weren't fixed on me, but he gazed on nothingness, while his head faced down. Before answering my question, Komui let out a bitter smile.
"You remind me of someone important to us all. She used to be with us, but now she's not. And you just look like her. No, no... you look exactly like her that I thought you're her," he spoke nostalgicly.
Someone who looked like me? An exocist? And I lost my memory. Is this a coincidence? When Elios found me at the shore, I'm wearing an exorcist uniform which could indicated that I am an exorcist. Could I possibly be her? My heart began to beat faster. Could I regained back my memory with this? Thoughts were rushing in my mind and I lost in thought. For a moment, my eyes and Elios' met.
"Lia.. could it be?" Elios seemed to thought just like what I did. I replied him with a nod.
"Actually, sir, I lost my memories. And Elios found me at the shore wearing an exorcist uniform. Could it mean something?" I asked. Komui astonished by what I told him.
"And I had this earring with me," I revealed my lotus earring that was hidden behind my hair all this time.
"It's just like Kanda's," as he spoke, I could saw sparkle on his eyes. And his voice was so sure.
