Hanna lended me her car today, so I didn't have to wait for a ride. I took my time getting my books and homework out of my locker. The people in high school cannot drive to save their lives. All they do is show their trucks off to make guys jealous, and to make girls melt for them. Typical fuck boy's if you ask me. I know, not all guys are mean. I don't need a lecture from people saying how people are nice. If they were already bullying me at school, god knows what would happen if they found out.

I got into my cousins blue car. Her leather seats burned my legs, due to the fact they were in the sun all day. I shook off the pain and buckled my seat belt. Everyone was leaving the parking lot, so I waited for a bit. I was not going to get into a stupid car accident from people being reckless.

My hand stopped bleeding, but dried blood ran along the cuts. I took a tissue from the middle console and put it on my hand. I rapped more tissue around the wound, leaving little red streaks running down it.

"That bitch got you good". I voice said. I turned towards the passenger seat to see Becky sitting there. Her blue eyes were memorizing in the sunlight.

"Yeah, I guess she did". I chuckled. I tried to be in a good mood, but I was still dreading tonight.

"Have you ever been hurt while in a vision?". She asked me. I thought about every vision I ever had, but couldn't come up with any pain during the episodes.

"No". I said. She looked confused. Well who can blame her? My visions were getting dangerous for me. I was having them in public, which will kill me. If people found out, I would have to leave. I couldn't deal with people calling me a freak. Not like they did in the asylum.

"Your powers are growing". She smirked. She was trying to lighten the mood. As hard as she tried,  she wasn't successful. I did however, put on a small fake smile.

"What's next? I can fly into oblivion?". I chuckled. We both laughed and looked at the cars leaving the parking lot.

"Teenagers disgust me". She said while crunching up her face.

"Thanks". I said rolling my eyes. She snapped her head back at me laughing.

"Your not like regular people. Your different". She said happily. Her smile grew on her face as I stared at her. I looked back to see the almost empty parking lot.

"You can say that again". I said sarcastically.

"Your different". She said with a serious look on her face. I punched her arm. Yes, I can touch the dead, and they can touch me. I could do that ever since Andrew. I still wonder if he is in that house, all alone in the world. I felt sorry for the boy. He was just a kid, he didn't know any better.

"It's a metaphor". I laughed. Most of the cars were gone so I started up the car.

"Oh I love road trips". She said batting her eyes lashes with her hand on her chest.

"I'm going home Dumbass". I laughed.

"I knew that". She snapped back. We pulled out of the parking lot and drove away. I didn't want to talk much so I turned on the radio. Of coarse, Becky and I's favorite song came on. Our song was "Fishing In The Dark". I know, it's ironic cause my biggest fear is the dark.

She moved to the beat of the song and messed up my hair. Her lips were moving from the words coming out from the speakers. I finally joined her when the song was half over. At least this car ride wasn't dreadful.

I arrived in my driveway glimmering with sweat. The radio played all of our favorite songs, which caused us to dance and sing to the beat. I hopped out of the car, locking it behind me. I walked into the red house with a smile on my face. Becky some how lifted my mood, while in the car. I was grateful for her kindness, but I still had this feeling in my stomach. It was like something bad was going to happen. I just ignored it, I had to. If I thought about it, I would think about what I had to do tonight. It would destroy my confidence, so I just left it alone.
