The window in my room has become a regular sight for me, memorizing the small stains coating the outside, the cracks and blemishes lining the walls surrounding it, the tallest trees that can be spotted standing out from the rest of the forest. The darkness that lies beneath their towering frames.
Ellie emerges from the bathroom with freshly touched up makeup, sitting right beside me despite there being a chair by the desk, "what do you even stare at out there?"
My thoughts are solely focused on her leg against my own, yet not feeling a thing.
"There's a lot that goes on out there if you have the patience to sit and watch." the only thing I scan is her face, asking myself if I'll ever feel a thing, telling myself if I ever do, It has to be for her.
"A lot of the students have a tendency to make bad decisions, I often find it amusing to witness." Getting lost within the beauty of her eyes is another thing I find amusing but I don't have the courage to tell her that aloud.
