Life can be so frustrating sometimes. Full of disappointments and agony.
Like opening a bag of chips.
I rolled my eyes to myself and sighed. I was in my room and the lights were off. It was way past midnight and being the owl that I am, I stayed up late. For what? I don't fucking know.
My brain just refuses to shut up and I'm left staring at the ceiling, praying to my non-existent faith in God for my eyes to fall asleep.
No such luck...
I increased the volume in my iPod and shut my eyes. 'Little Things' by 1D were playing and it actually calmed me down. I'm not an obsessed fan over them. Just a neutral lover of music. But you can't deny. I'd tap Zayn's ass. #justsaying
I rolled over to my side and slowly, fell asleep.
I got up quite early and got ready for school. Showered and brushed my teeth, all while my iPod was playing on the counter. I'm a total music freak. I cannot breathe properly without any music playing. I'd probably commit suicide if I'm stuck in dead silence.
I dressed my usual black turtleneck and tight denim jeans with my woolly hat. I wore a jacket as well since it was chilly and headed to the kitchen.
Helena, my sister was already awake and sipping away her morning tea when I got down. She made French Toast for me and I ate silently.
"Where's mom?" I asked in between bites.
"Hawaii. Important client. Won't be back till next month." She muttered and flipped open a newspaper.
I 'Hmm'-ed at that and shrugged. Grabbing my bag, I left the house and headed to school.
I live with my sister in a small house in the most religious, Jesus-loving neighbourhood ever. Which is really something considering the fact that my whole family are atheist.
The neighbours were practically throwing bibles in our faces when we first moved in.
My mum works as business executive or something and she's needed to travel around the world to meet partners, sign shares and whatnot. I miss her so much. But she always comes back during holidays so I'm okay with that.
Dad's been dead ever since the car accident that happened 10 years ago. He was drunk driving again and it was expected. But I miss him still.
Damien, my big brother, ran away from home with his girlfriend. He just up and went after leaving a letter saying that he's going away with his girlfriend. Apparently she was preggers and he promised to visit once the baby's born. I was sad of course since I loved him to death but really? You can't afford a condom? Slick move Bro. But his girlfriend is nice. She's not those obnoxious ones and I actually really like her.
Just hope they'll be fine.
I reached school and I quickly wore my headphones and turned the volume up. Why am I doing this? Oh, it helps keep my nerves calm from going completely ass-shit insane into a killing spree. I'm too young to be convicted for homicidal murder so I'd like to keep my records clean.
I passed all the sad excuses of human beings on my way to the locker and cringed inward in attempts to avoid contact. I might be exaggerating but I honestly don't wanna risk going berserk mode.
I got to my locker and got out my books. Chemistry, Additional Maths and Physics. My three worst subjects. Today's gonna be one hell of a day.
I turned and headed to the cafeteria to buy a drink from the vending machines when some blockheaded idiot ran past me and shoulder checked my books down to the floor.
