Sarah's POV:
I walked to the hallway to the library. Sun shining through the windows making the hallway slightly looking heavenly. A few students are taking their time getting their books. I came to school earlier than usual for today.
'Payphone' by Maroon 5 was playing in my phone at full blast. I need to fine another new book to be addicted to. Why? I thought I lost my favourite book yesterday and I nearly had a heart attack. Turns out, my mother kept it as punishment. She knew how much I love it. I love it as much as I love music.
Listening to music while reading a book would be enough for me. That's like a relaxing thing. As I daydreamed my way to the library, I went to the young adult section. I let my finger tips touch the spine of the books while walking and checking out the titles. If any titles caught my eyes, I would read the summary.
10 minutes later.
I could hear students shuffling noisily in the hallways. Its that loud that you could hear it from the here. The only book that interest me was a book called 'A walk to remember' by Nicohlas Spark.
Truth be told, I have never read a book, not even one, from him. Shocker, I know. I did heard that he was a good writer especially for teenagers from my friends back from England. I saw the clock on top of the entrance and noticed I only had 5 minutes left. Damn that was fast.
I quickly shoved the book in a random section, did a silent sorry to it and quickly dashed to my first class. Before I even could, I internally cursed for forgetting to get my books. I just had to go to the library at the wrong timing. I closed my locker with a loud bang. I didn't care at the moment, I was going to be late.
I heard a faint 'Sarah' as if someone was calling me. I couldn't really hear with the commotion of the students rushing and pushing. I decided to ignore it and continue my rush to the class. I was only a few feet from my classroom when someone blocked me and then another. They were all surrounding me now in a circle.
What's going on? Most of them were cheerleaders and the others were just losers who were trying to fit in. Out of nowhere, two person emerged. If we were a movie, they'd be the head bully's. The students who weren't part of it, were glancing curiously. I was pissed and confused. They were making me late.
Drinnnnngggg.
Now they're simply making me annoyed and pissed. Wanna guess who the two persons are? You guessed right! Maybe wrong. Its Daphnie Goodmin and Davis. Were both doing the last name basis- ok fine I am. "Why isn't this a coincidence" Daphnie said in fake shock.
"Coincidence? Yeah, totally" I agreed with her, sarcastically, of course. This is definitely not a coincidence. Who is she fooling? She rolled her eyes. "I told you not to mess with me but you didn't listen to me, did you? No one likes you so stop chasing after my boyfriend" she said, glaring at me with hatred.
I was confused at first until she glanced adoringly to the dude next to her, the one and only, Davis. I wanted to laugh because of the reaction of Davis when he understood what she meant.
Though considering the situation I am in, I have to be cautious. "I'm just tagging along. I thought 'hey, this could be fun'. Gotta try something new right" he shrugged, giving me his lazy smirk. Daphnie glances at him and blushes. Did she actually think he likes her?
She's mental. Davis noticed and took one step away from her. I gave him a sarcastic smile while panic seep through me though I covered it with a calm expression.
"Everybody ready" she said, oh-so-sweetly, batting her eyelashes. Their extremely long by the way. I saw every one of them holding a small object on their hands, eggs to be specific. They all raised their hands, my eyes widened at this. Davis was enjoying the panic look on my face with his smirk and his eyes twinkling in delight.
