12. Apollo X Juniper

"Come on, Trucy! Hurry up!" Athena called out, quite loudly.

"I'm coming! Give me a sec!" Trucy rushed over through the bushes as fast as she could, her cape occasionally getting caught in the thorns. Apollo had set up his first date with Juniper to be at a flower garden, and of course Athena and Trucy wanted to watch. Athena, who had encouraged them to set up that date in the first place, and Trucy who simply wanted to see Apollo embarrass himself on his first date. Athena checked the time on her phone and looked up with a sour expression.

"He's late. Agh! What did I tell him about being late?! Now Junie has to sit here and wait for him!"

"Well, he did say that he's going to take a while to get ready." Trucy stated.

"Yeah, but a gentleman never leaves a lady waiting like this!"

"Sorry I'm late!" A booming voice erupted. It was definitely Apollo. He rushed over to Junie, panting hard from running so much.

"Oh, no it's fine." Juniper replied. "Woah! You look really nice today!" She exclaimed, and it was true, Apollo had more of a casual but stylish look today. He liked to call it his "Stylin' Street Clothes".

"Really? Thanks! I did my hair extra nice today! So much hair gel.." He said as he straightened up his antennae.

"That's sweet of you." Juniper smiled sweetly at him. Apollo blushed a light pink.

"Well, I guess we should get walking now?" Apollo asked.

"That sounds like a great idea. Let's go!" She giggled. They then started to walk through the park. Athena and Trucy spied on them through the bushes. As they walked, Juniper kept trying to get closer to Apollo to make him feel more comfortable with her. The two obviously reacted to this.

"Yes Junie! Make the move! Grab his hand!"

"Apollo! Stop being and idiot and just hold her hand!"

Apollo had the nagging feeling they were being watched, but he didn't really mind it all too much. Suddenly, Juniper gasped and ran towards a small patch of flowers. Apollo followed her.

"Apollo! Look at these! She exclaimed excitedly. Apollo peeked over her shoulder and saw a bunch of bright red roses.

"Oh wow. They look really pretty."

"I agree!" She plucked one of them and gave it to Apollo. "In the language of flowers, a red rose signals love. And red seems like your kind of color!"

"Oh, thank you! And.." Apollo picked another rose and stuck it somewhere in her flower hat. "If it signals love, I think we should both have one." He winked. Juniper stared up at him and a smile plastered itself onto her face.

"Mmhm! Definitely!" She nodded. They continued to walk while Athena and Trucy were going unbelievably crazy.

"Smooth move Apollo! Keep going!" Athena exclaimed. They kept on walking until it was just around evening. They sat down together on a bench. Athena and Trucy sat in a bush right behind them.

"This was nice of you to do, Apollo." Juniper said, sweetly.

"No need to thank me! I had a really fun time with you!"

"That's good." Juniper looked down and clenched her chest.

"Something wrong?" He asked.

"No, it's just..." Just then, she made her final move and gave Apollo a kiss on the lips. She broke away a few seconds later. Apollo was left utterly confused. "I-I've been meaning to say this for a long time! Ever since we first met! I-I-I-.... I love you, Apollo!" She bowed out of embarrassment. Apollo was a little shocked at the sudden confession, but he soon realized that he felt the same way. He put his hands on her shoulders.

"Juniper I..." He then hugged her almost out of nowhere. "I love you too.." Tears spilled out of Juniper's eyes once she heard that.

"I'm glad." They kissed once more and that's when they heard a camera shot. They turned towards the bushes, and out popped a very excited Athena and Trucy duo.

"Ahh! They kissed! They kissed!" Athena squealed.

"He didn't mess up! He completed the date!" Trucy screamed. They fangirled for a little while before Apollo took the camera.

"Ack!" Athena yelped.

"Athena... Trucy... REALLY?!" Apollo yelled, with his full Chords of Steel.

"Oops..."
