3. Athena X Blackquill

It was finally over. The murder trial of Clay Terran and Metis Cykes was finally solved. Both Blackquill and Athena were finally free of charges, and justice was brought to the true criminal. They were all standing around in the Defendant Lobby heaving a big sigh of relief that this was all over.

"Hey, Cykes-dono? Can I talk to you in private for a minute?" Athena followed Blackquill down to the Case Files room in the library.

"Thank you, Cykes-dono. I am eternally grateful to you and the others. But I just have to ask.....why?" Blackquill asked. Athena looked at him with a puzzled expression. Then she smiled.

"Because I know you hadn't done it. From the bottom of my heart, there was always some part of me that knew you didn't do it. Of course, as a child I always trusted in the media and the tabloids more than my own heart. But through all of these experiences I've had with Phoenix and Apollo, I began to use my heart for judgement a lot more. That's my reasoning." Blackquill was silent at this point. He was trying to comprehend all the things Athena had said to him.

"Cykes-dono? No, allow me to call you Athena." Blackquill pushed her to the wall in a flash and gave her a surprise kiss on the lips. Athena blushed hard, but she accepted it and kissed him back. "I love you Athena. Thank you for doing this for me."

Athena smiled warmly. "No problem, Blackquill." They kissed one last time before heading out.

Phoenix waved at them. "Hey! So what did you guys talk about in there?"

"Come on, Boss. It's called a private talk for a reason!" Phoenix laughed.

"Okay, let's head back to the office! You're welcome to come too! We're having a party for both of your acquittals!" Blackquill silently nodded, and followed them to the Wright Anything Agency.
