Apollo woke up with a start. Sweating and shivering. He had woken up from a nightmare. He checked his phone for the time. "3 AM? Ugh.." School was going to start in just around 4 hours. He tried to go back to sleep but his efforts were in vain. He kept thinking about the nightmare he had. Just then, he heard a vibration from his phone. He picked it up, and looked at the message that had appeared. It was from his boyfriend, Clay. He smiled, and swiped right to answer.

Clay: Hey

Apollo: Hey

Clay: You're awake?

Apollo: Yeah. A nightmare.

Clay: What a coincidence. Same here.

Apollo laughed.

Apollo: Do you mind telling me what it was about?

Clay: Not until you tell me about yours

Apollo: How about we tell each other tomorrow at lunch?

Clay: Sounds good. I'll see you then. Try getting some sleep, Polly <3

Apollo: You too :)

Apollo placed his phone on the desk near him, and fell back to sleep. Thinking about Clay.

The next day, he of course went to school, tired as hell, and when it was finally time for lunch, he and Clay went up to their usual secret spot on the roof. They each took out their lunches and ate in silence.

"So..uh, what was your nightmare about?" He asked. Apollo slightly gasped, then laughed it off.

"Oh right... we were gonna tell each other about that." His eating slowed down a little bit.

"Are you okay? Was it that bad?" Clay asked, concerned. Apollo was silent.

"I-It's nothing. Let's just get on with it." Apollo said, forcefully. Clay hesitated, but went along with it.

"A-alright then.. on the count of three we say it together. I get the feeling we have sort of the same dream. 1.. 2.. 3."

"You died." Apollo stated.

"I died." Clay said simultaneously. They both stared at each other in surprise.

"Wait. Don't tell me we had the same dream in different perspectives?" Apollo was filled with disbelief.

"I guess we did." Clay laughed. Apollo sunk his head. "Hey, what's wrong?" Clay asked.

"What if that actually happened..?" Apollo murmured.

"Huh?" Tears began to fill up in Apollo's eyes. He whimpered to hold his tears back, but they had to come out. Apollo burst into tears, and thrust himself into Clay's arms. "Apollo..?"

"What if that actually happened?! You get murdered by some unidentified strange man!" Apollo cried. Clay hugged him to calm him down.

"It's just a dream. Don't worry."

"But what if it's not? What if it actually happens? Do you really think it doesn't mean something if we had the same dream? What if--"

"Stop." Clay's firm tone cause Apollo to stop crying. He looked up and saw tears flowing down his cheeks. "Listen, I'm worried too. I don't want to leave you. I don't want to leave you crying like this. I promise, I won't die."

"Promise?" Apollo sniffed.

"Promise." Clay gave a big smile, tears still rolling down his face, and hugged him tighter than before. Apollo felt his warmth encompassing his body, and it calmed him down. "Everything is going to be just fine."

"I promise."

"Come on, Polly! Finish your work! Daddy's calling you!" Trucy yelled in Apollo's ear.

"I hear you. I hear you. Fine." Apollo got up from his seat, and went into the next room where Mr. Wright had the TV on playing the news. "Of course, it's just the news." Apollo was just about to walk out of the room, when something he heard caught his attention.

"Breaking News! A bombing has taken place at the Cosmos Space Center, and we seem to have a victim of a murder here as well." Apollo stopped in his tracks and turned around. His heart shattered when he saw who it was. "Victim: Clay Terran. Age 23."

"No... no, this can't be happening."

"The poor man, he could've had a charming future, right Apollo?" Phoenix turned around. "Apollo.. ?" Apollo sucked up his tears, and turned around again. "I'm sorry. Allow me to be excused." Apollo walked into his workroom, and slammed the door shut. Trucy and Phoenix looked at each other, worriedly.

Apollo crashed into his chair, and slammed his head on the desk sobbing. "Why... why Clay..? You promised..." Eventually he had cried himself to sleep.

He awoke again in the middle of the night from the same nightmare he had back in middle school. He picked up his phone.

1:30 AM

He ignored all the texts from Phoenix, Trucy and Athena, and just went straight to Clay's. His fingers shook as he typed each individual letter. After the text was sent he put his phone in his pocket, and headed out of the office.

Apollo: Hey Clay..? I can't sleep.
