Alone....Till he came

Chapter 7

Mate???!!!! What does he mean we're mates? i mean I've read about them, but i didnt think that they were actually real. This is crazy. 

I looked at him through my eyelashes, but he was already looking down at me. Since he was quite tall he towered over me like a building towered over the people. His expression was nervous. "Haha one question..... What exactly does that mean?" i asked playing with my fingers. His nervousness seemed to melt away and he chuckled a throatly laugh. 

"It means that the universe has chosen both of us for each other. We are meant to be together no matter how hard you try to fight it.....unless one of the mates decideds to reject the other and marks another then the mate bond will be severed." He took my fiddling hands into his rough ones and squeezed lovingly. "So you're saying that somone chose us to be together forever and that we're perfect for each other?" i asked hesitantly. He smiled his dipple-filled smile again and nodded. 

I smiled shyly and slipped my hands out of his big ones. "This is just so much to take in...i think i need a little time alone to help proccess all...this" i said dragging myself up from the floor and walking into my messy room. Dang now i have to clean again. I heard his heavy footsteps following me into the room. "I'll give you some time, but i need to know if you're going to reject me or accept me by tomorrow.." he said shutting the door behind him. 

Right as i jumped on my bed the door opened again showing...Kyle. I jumped off the bed and slapped him. "What in the hell do you want?" i asked sounding like the devil with as much venom i put into that question. He flinched back from my tone. "Look i just came hoping to apologize about what happened......but i want to try something.." he said slowly walking towards me.

Omg this is just like when i got raped. I never told anyone about that, but right now its happening all over again. I ran to my balacony and right when i thought i was going to get away i felt arms wrap around my body. I didnt think of anything else, but to scream. i sucked in a huge breath of air and screamed as loud as i could......i could actually feel the ground shake beneath our feet and the arms retracted from around my waist. 

I looked down from my 2 story balcony and jumped. 

I landed in a crouch. I looked back at the house just as Kyle looked over the edge of the balcany and thats when i ran. Like i said i was a really fast runner. I reached the edge of the woods in no time and dashed into the darkness ahead.

The Next Day: 

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun kissing my skin. I sat up from where i was laying on a bed of grass surrounded by trees. What happened last night? 

I thought back to the night before and remembered everything that happened. I cant believe he would try to do that...but i also cant believe that i survived that jump without even a scratch. People arent supposed to do that. Am i vampire? Gosh this is all so confusing. Well might as well get cleaned up. I can smell myself already. 

I dragged myself up from the warm, hard ground and trugged back to the house. In minutes i was back in my backyard. Wow , how did i even remember my way back. Suddenly i heard things breaking and running coming from up ahead. I dashed in between two bushes and peeked from behind them. Jason, Kyle, and Lucca were standing there looking around. Suddenly Lucca stopped going in circles and stared at the bushes i was currently behind of. 

He took big, fast steps and in seconds had me in his arms. I heard a low, animalistic growl come from behind him. I looked up from his chest to see Kyle and Jason baring their teeth. What in the name of baby goats is up their butts? 

"Uhh....Lucca...I think someone's watching us.." i said trying to get out of his hold. He swung around and looked at Kyle, and Jason both in crouches. He looked confused at first, but that quickly banished and he too was in a crouch with me behind him. I looked around at all the boys confused. What's going on here? Suddenly they jumped at each other...and they looked ready to kill. 

It was all happening so fast Kyle was on Lucca, Jason was on Kyle, Lucca was on Jason, and then they were all on each other. I have to do something! I looked around for anything that would help me, but finding none, i decided to just try to break it up. I determinedly strided over to them. First i tried to grab Lucca, but got punched in the arm, then i tried to grab Kyle and got kicked in the knee, and finally i tried to grab Jason and got the air knocked out of me. Well this is obviouisly not working. WAIT! 

I stepped back from the fighting boys and paced to some rocks near a tree. I grabbed one of the sharpest ones and cut my wrist. 

Suddenly they were all in front of me baring their teeth at my cut. My blood. I took a step back and they all took a step foward. Their eyes held an animalistic, evil glint. This might have been a bad idea. Abruptly...they pounced. 

I could actuallly feel them biting into my skin. At first there was a fiery hot pain, but it quickly faded to escasty. I felt like i was floating. i couldnt help but let out a little moan. Gosh this was amazing. I felt myself losing conciousness, and soon i was swallowed up by the darkness.

I woke up to the sound of yelling. Woah, my head really hurts. I wonder what happ- OH! Now i remember. I quickly sat up, but soon found out that was a bad idea. I let out a groan of pain as i layed back down. My body ached all over. 

I heard footsteps pacing toward the room i was currently in. I turned my head toward my bedroom door and there stood all three of them. Jason, Lucca, and Kyle, and they all had regret plastered on their faces. Lucca was the first to speak. "Oh my god, Alex, I'm so sorry." He scurried over to me and gently grabbed me into his arms. Kyle and Jason looked like they wanted to say something, but thought better of it. They just slowly walked over to the edge of the bed.

"Look we're so sorry. We didnt expect to lose control....its just so hard to see you with him" Kyle gestured to Lucca. "We all thought that you were our mates and we kinda just still have feelings for you" he finished up. I'm really confused. How did they all think that i was their mate? I voiced my confusion. "I dont get it. Why did you all think that you were my mate?" I asked sliding out of Lucca's arms and walked toward my walk-in closet. "That's what we don't get either" they all said at the same time. Gosh they're so weird. 

I looked through my sundresses until i got to one i liked. I walked back into the room with the boy's eyes following my every move. Did i mention that they were weird? 

I opened the bathroom door and walked in. "Well how about we talk about this when I'm not all sweaty and dirty. I'll be down in a few." With that i closed the bathroom door.
