"Okay, Claire." Darcy began, the two of them standing backstage of the theatre. "Are you ready for this?"

Claire nodded. "Heck yeah, I am."

It was the day of the auditions for Romeo and Juliet. Although Claire was certain she would get the part, she was slightly nervous.

"Okay." Darcy grinned. "Knock em dead!"

"Claire Nuñez?" the drama teacher called. Claire took a deep breath, and walked on to the stage.

"Who are you trying out for?" the teacher asked.

"Juliet."

"Alright." the teacher sat back. "Have at it."

Claire cleared her throat, and took a deep breath. "Come, night. Come, Romeo. Come, thou day in night, for thou wilt lie upon the wings of night," Claire started to do arm motions to make the scene more believable.

Whiter than new snow upon a raven's back. Come , gentle night, come, loving, black-browed night, give me my Romeo. And when I shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night."

She sighed as she finished, looking at the teacher hopefully. Thankfully, she looked pleased. "Thank you, Ms. Nuñez." Claire smiled, and started to walk off stage.

Her eyes lit up as she saw Jim in a knight costume. She smiled and crossed her arms. "And here I thought you didn't like Shakespeare."

"Oh, no, he's my favorite." said Jim, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "I totally love him."

Claire smiled, and then walked closer to him. Jim's breath hitched, but Claire paid no mind to it. Instead, she was looking at his costume. "That costume is incredible." she praised. She looked up to meet Jim's eyes. "Did you make it?"

"No, he found a magical amulet that makes it." Toby piped up.

Claire laughed. "You're funny."

"Yeah, you're a real comedian, aren't you?" Jim hissed at his friend with a glare. It reminded Claire of her and Kid Flash.

"Next!" the teacher shouted, and Claire smiled at Jim.

"I think that's your cue. Break a leg!"

"I'd prefer that." she heard Jim mutter nervously as he walked out on stage.

"Who are you?" the teacher asked.

"James Lake Junior."

"And who are you trying out for?"

"Uh, Romeo."

"Well," the teacher sat back in her chair. "We are all ears."

"Uh..." Jim bit his lip, as though he couldn't remember his lines.

Oh geez, Claire thought. He's freezing up.

Suddenly, Jim appeared to be more confident. "Destiny." he began. "Destiny is a gift.
Some go their entire lives living an existence of quiet desperation, never learning the truth, that what feels as though a burden pushing down upon our shoulders is actually the sense of purpose that lifts us to greater heights." he paused for effect. "Never forget that fear is but the precursor to valor."

Claire's eyes widened. It was a spine-tingling speech, something that Diana would probably say to her.

"That to strive and triumph in the face of fear is what it means to be a hero." Jim continued. "Don't think. Become."
