Chapter One- "Have you read those fanfictions about me?"

Mount Justice 2.0, September 17, 2017, 4:00 AM

Claire grunted as a fist collided with her jaw, throwing her backwards. She did a flip in the air, landing on her feet just in time to block a second punch. Claire feigned an uppercut, before kicking her opponent's legs out from under her.

She was older now, about to turn 16. Her hair was to her shoulders, with streaks of blue mixed in with the black.

As her opponent lied on ground, Claire kicked towards her temple, stopping a millimeter away so that she wouldn't actually knock out Diana.

"Nice job." Diana, also known as Wonder Woman, praised her. Claire rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Yeah, but I know you purposely fell. There's no way that I can actually kick your legs out from under you."

"True," Diana agreed. "But with the majority of beings in the universe? Your kick would've had that affect. You are an Amazon."

"3/4 Amazon, technically." Claire pointed out, before grunting as her mentor flicked her in the head.

"You know, that never hurts when Darcy does it." Claire muttered, rubbing the spot on her head. "But I guess Darcy isn't an Amazon warrior who's defeated the god of war. Darcy can't even defeat our Spanish exams."

"Speaking of school," Diana began, stepping off of the training platform. "How are your grades? I'm guessing Spanish is still a 100%?"

"Yep." Claire replied. "I'm kind of surprised it is, to be totally honest, since there's this boy who always stares at me. Oh, and Algebra's went up from an A to an A+, thanks to Tim's tutoring."

Diana sighed. "Claire, we don't say Robin's real name anywhere that we're in uniform."

Claire put her hands up defensively. "Hey, it's not my fault I overheard Bart say what his name is. Blame him."

She yawned, closing her eyes and stretching, before doubling over as she received a jab to the stomach.

"Always be alert!" Diana shouted. "Never let your guard down, are you trying to get killed?" She dropped to the ground, kicking Claire's legs out from under her.

Claire quickly rolled out of the way as Diana's boot stomped where her torso had been. She exploded off of the ground, landing an uppercut to Diana's jaw, knocking her back a few feet.

Claire grinned. "Woah! I just knocked the Wonder Woman off balance!"

Diana chuckled. "Like I'd fight my hardest against you."

"True. If you did, I would probably die. I mean, you've basically defeating yourself." Claire agreed, referring to Genocide, who was a dark reflection of Wonder Woman created by Ares, the Greek god of war.

Claire walked over to her back and picked up her phone to check the sign. She looked back up at her mentor. "I've gotta get going so I can practice my lines for my school's production of Romeo and Juliet." she paused. "Who all knows about the play, anyways?"

"Only Superboy, Wonder Girl and myself." Diana replied. "Just like you asked."

"Good." said Claire, hoisting her bag over her shoulder and beginning to walk towards the zeta tubes, which was the entrance and exit teleportation tubes of the mountain. The original Mount Justice had been destroyed by an explosion, and so the Justice League had rebuilt it in the Appalachian Mountains as a training spot. "I really don't want Bart knowing about it. He'd mess it up big time."
