IV
Adriana and I walk downstairs and everyone's still sitting the way we left them. Nathan suddenly can't 't keep his eyes off me.
"Nathan, stop staring at me. Go said
"Don't be like that Sam." He responded
"You can't tell me what to do anymore Nathan, we're not together anymore."
Everyone gasps.
"Didn't you guys know? Our friend over here cheated and he broke up and it hasn't even been five days and he's already collecting STDs around school. It's also why he lied and said I'm studying for finals, because he's too much of a coward to face me."
Cheryl is dating Jeremy, Emma is dating Beau and Adriana is dating Sean. We were the perfect quad of friends. Nathan is doing whatever that is with Miranda and Sam is single, happily single.
"Anyway can we leave?" I said and the time is 22:00, a perfect time to go clubbing.
"Tonight we're getting an Uber Van because I don't think anyone of us is determined on driving and not drinking." Cheryl said. "It's five minutes away."
Emma and Beau were always the perfect couple and they still are. They kind of set Nathan and I up.
Emma's green eyes and brown somehow look perfect with Beau. They are the ones that should stay together no matter what. They've been together since the beginning of high school and even before that they liked each other immensely.
"The uber is outside, let's go guys." Cheryl said looking into her phone.
Cheryl and Jeremy are a different story. They met in summer and he's always been the best friend to Cheryl because she was with Cole -asshole- and when they finally broke up he got her.
We all walked outside and the van was right there. Everyone was with their significant other except for Nathan and I.
"I didn't appreciate you trying to exclude tonight, they are my friends too." I said
"I didn't try to exclude you. I said you weren't coming because I thought you wouldn't want to come." He says defensively
"Studying for finals, really Sherwood? And I thought you were smart."
"And I thought you studied, so I guess we were both incorrect."
"I guess we didn't know each other at all." I said as we got into the van.
Emma with Beau, Cheryl with Jeremy, Adriana with Sean and then you get Nathan and dumb Samantha sitting awkwardly because there's nothing to talk about and tomorrow is Friday detention, thanks again Nathan Sherwood.
"You know I'm still angry at you for getting me detention." I said, trying to make conversation.
"It's not my fault that we didn't stay in Miss Shirley's class."
""Well it's not my fault that you kissed me!" I started raising my voice
"It's not my fault that you wanted it! And you know you liked it as much as I did!" he raised his.
"It's not my fault that you cheated and ruined everything!"
"It's not my fault that you never did everything with me! It's not my fault that you were so distant and difficult!" he yelled and I froze, processing what he just said to me.
A tear started rolling down my left cheek, luckily the makeup is waterproof.
"I'm sorry Sam," he said trying to hug me.
I shoved him away and slapped him.
I made a fist and almost punched but it stopped a few inches away from my face.
"Samantha Xavier thank God that I don't hit little girls." He said as turned to the window.
I look to the front and everyone's head turned forward, acting like they haven't seen anything.
I saw a side of Nathan that I've never seen in my life.
We got to Argon's Palace, one of the most exclusive clubs in California. Adriana knows some people who hooked us up with the owner of the club, so free entrance and free drinks and it's VIP section all the way.
We arrived at our booth that has more than ten different types of alcohol.
"The power of Adriana, I deserve an award." She bragged.
I walked to the bar because I needed space from all of that, hint it's Nathan.
"Five shots of liquid cocaine, please. I'm by booth twelve." I said as I took a seat.
"Will do Miss," The barman replied
"It's Sam, call me Sam."
"Beck,"
"Nice to meet you, Beck."
"What's wrong?" he asked
"Nothing, why?" I lied
"Because for someone who's at booth twelve, you're quite blue."
"It's boy problems, I don't want to talk about it."
Beck looks breathtaking, his jawline is perfect.
"My shift finishes in five minutes, so I can chill with you if you want," he offers
"Yes, I would like that very much."
"Here are your shots, don't die or get kidnapped. I'm going to go change out of this uniform." He said as he left.
Adriana told me that six of these shot can finish me for the whole night and I really want to go away or should I wait for Beck?
I'll drink three while he's gone and three when he comes back.
First shot.
Second shot.
Third shot.
I started feeling lighter and turned back. I saw Nathan with some hoe making out
Beck came and I pulled him closer and started making out with him and he pulled away.
"You're better than this Sam, I hope." He said to him and he started blurring.
I heard There For You by Martin Garrix and Troye Sivan play and I got my seat and pulled Beck with me.
"I woke up pissed off today and lately everyone feels fake," I started singing and dancing with Beck.
It's funny how fast I get drunk.
We were dancing and our bodies started touching, not grinding but touching.
The song finished and we went back to the bar and my three shots were still there.
"Do you want one?" I offered and he took two.
"Thank you," he says after downing them and I take my last shot.
JUST WHEN I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER, SOMEONE NEW SHOWS UP AND THAT PERSON WILL SHOW ME BETTER.
