Lunarpaw looked up from her meal as her sister Solarpaw padded up. "Oh hey, Solarpaw! What's up?" She asked.
"Fawnleaf said she wanted you to come to battle training with Lillypaw and her mentor, Hopewing." Solarpaw said enviously.
"Oh okay can you come too?" The other she-cat asked.
"Nah, I'm going hunting with Thistlefur and Cloverpelt."

"Aww, I feel bad for you. Cloverpelt is a cocky thorn in the side."
"Ugh, you should see her when she is hunting!  'Your position is wrong' 'You will never catch prey like that' Doesn't she take a hint? Gosh."
"Well at least you don't have to hunt with any Elders! They would be even more bossy." Lunarpaw said jokingly.
"Fair enough, you should get going though."

"Solarpaw!" Greywind called from he other side of the clearing.
"Coming!" Solarpaw shouted. "See ya Lunarpaw!" Solarpaw said as she bounded toward her mentor. "Bye!" She called back.
As Lunarpaw walked toward her mentor, she saw the medicine cat, Briarwind, heading toward Reedstar's den with an urgent expression on her face.
"Huh, I wonder what that was about." Lunarpaw thought. Oh, maybe she had a vision! Did it have something to do with the war?

The war had been raging between the clans for moons. It all started when ShadowClan demanded more land from its neighbors, insisting that the land they had was not enough. WindClan and ThunderClan were outraged, and fought for it. Yet ShadowClan were sneaky, and recruited rouges to help them, promising a portion of territory if they won. Reedstar had said we RiverClan would not get involved, but for safety the apprentice's training for battle increased much more often, and they were reenforcing the camp with bramble thickets they found near the border.

She hoped the war would blow over from the beginning, but it showed no sign of stopping, so the clans have remained in a state of pain and suffering, and there was nothing they could do about it. She pushed her thoughts away when she approached her mentor.
"Hi Fawnleaf, Lunarpaw greeted the older she-cat. You wanted to go battle training with Lilypaw and Hopewing, right?"
"Yep, are you ready? If you are, let's go!"
"Okay!" Lunarpaw said excitedly.

As they got to the training hollow, she saw that  Lilypaw and Hopewing were already there.
"Hi, Lunarpaw!" Lilypaw said, her voice bubbling with excitement. The young she-cat apprentice was feisty, always looking for a fight and loves a chance to show her skills.
"Hey, Lilypaw!" She said back.
"So, are we ready to start?" Hopewing said.
"Yep!" Both she-cats said in unison.
"Let's start with a mock battle." Fawnleaf said as they got into position. Lilypaw leaped up suddenly, slamming into Lunarpaw, who put that force in her back legs and threw her off.

Lunarpaw reared up and slammed her forepaws into Lilypaw, who ducked under the blow and clamped her jaws around her back leg, throwing her into a stray bramble thicket. The thorns snagged at her pelt until she finally came too a stop in the dead center of the thicket. Lunarpaw goanced at her leg and began to see the blood welling. Quickly,, she began to lick it, when she heard her mentor start scolding Lilypaw.
"You could have seriously hurt her!" Fawnleaf's muffled voice vibrated through the brambles. As she scrambled out of the brambles, blood welling in her leg wound and thorns in her pelt, the two mentors rushed over to her.
" Oh my goodness, it's worse than I thought! Look at her leg!" Fawnleaf said, worry filling her gaze.
"Guys, I'm fine! Stop fussing over me like a queen when her kit leaves the nursery for the first time."
"You are not fine, we are taking you straight to Briarwind." Hopewing said sternly.
"As for you!" Hopewing said, shifting her gaze over to Lilypaw. "Your punishment will be determined by Reedstar." Hopewing said, anger filling her gaze.
"Now go back to camp, and not another word." She continued.

"Yes, Hopewing." Lilypaw said obediently. She shot a glare at Lunarpaw before bounding toward camp. When they neared the camp, they saw Briarwind sunning herself next to the medicine den. As they approached, Briarwind leapt to her paws.
"Great Starclan, did you fight a bramble patch and lose?" Briarwind exlaimed.
After Fawnleaf explained what happened, Briarwind began to examine Lunarpaw. After she removed all of the brambles and checked her leg, she explained how bad the wound was.
"Well the wound was very deep to begin with,
but that bramble patch did not help. She will need to be off of it for at most, six sunrises."
"What about my training?!" Lunarpaw cried.
"Your training will have to wait." Briarwind answered curtly.

That night, the pain in her leg began to sink in and it shrieked with pain, but her eyes began to fall  and she welcomed the darkness.
When she opened her eyes, she was in a moonlit clearing, when she heard a rustling in the bushes and a small dark chestnut tom kit emerged with glowing Amber eyes that where strangely familiar to her. Then she noticed they looked just like sunshades eyes then she realized this was her brother!
Eclipsekit looked at her then walked over to her.
"When the war of three clans turns to four the moon will cover the sun and the ember will burn out."
"Wait what." Lunarpaw said.
"Eh they tell you to stay formal with these but I'm gonna say it. It's a prophecy." He said his serious stature fading into a more casual tone.
"All I can tell you is that you and Solarpaw are involved in some way. Oh by the way sorry about the vagueness." he said as he walked away and began to fade from her vision and she felt a prod at her side as she was sucked into reality.
