Warriors Lunar Lullaby

Chapter two

Solarpaw was looking in the river for fish.  When her sister came up behind her.
"Solarpaw!" Lunarpaw appeared behind her as the fish all swam away.
"Hey!" Solarpaw said irritation bubbling in her tone.
"No time to be a fish brained idiot." Lunarpaw shot back.
" your fishing can wait, I have to tell you something it's super important."Lunarpaw said her mind clearly somewhere else.
"Ugh fine its not like I can fish here anymore anyway..."Solarpaw said annoyance edging her mew.
"Come on." Lunarpaw mewed impatiently as she began to bound into the undergrowth somehow seeming sure and unsure of where she was going.
As they sped through their territory and ended up in a clearing looking over the lake.
"Yes I'm sure this is the place." Lunarpaw muttered half to herself.
"Okay why are we here and how does this relate to me and my fishing." Solarpaw said irritably.
"You won't believe me but I had a dream last night and I saw Eclipsekit and he gave me a Prophecy! He said that we are both involved in some way. We should tell Briarwind and together maybe we can figure this out!"
"Welp its official my sister has gone nuts." Solarpaw said mockingly.
"Honestly do you know how fish brained you sound you probably just ate a bad minnow or something and it messed with you." Solarpaw said clearly not caring.
"Also shouldn't you be in the medicine den with briarwind she is going to get so mad when she finds out you snuck off." She said amusement lighting up her gaze
"CAN YOU JUST TAKE SOMETHING SERIOUSLY FOR ONCE!" Lunarpaw flashed back.
"I snuck out because I thought this was important, but of course you can never take anything seriously you where the last cat I should have come to!I'll just go tell briarwind at least maybe she will listen to me." She said stalking into the undergrowth. Leaving Solarpaw alone in the clearing.
The full moon glimmered over the lake as Solarpaw sat at the edge of her clanmates at the gathering Lunarpaw couldn't come because of her injuries so Solarpaw was alone as she looked around her mentor thistlefur leaned over.
"Hey you should go talk to that group of apprentices." He said pointing his tail toward a group of thunderclan apprentices.
"Okay." Lunarpaw said walking over to the group of cats.
Some of them scooted away when a young she cat stepped up and spoke.
"Guys it's not a ShadowClan cat, she smells of fish."
The group breathed a sigh of relief.
The she cat walked over to her.
"I'm really sorry Dawnstar said we need to be on edge at gatherings because of ShadowClan. But anyway, I'm Flowerpaw and these are my friends Seedpaw, Barkpaw, and Brackenpaw." She said friendlily.
"Well I'm Solarpaw by the way." Solarpaw mewed.
All of the sudden Dawnstar called from the great oak "Let the gathering begin!" As Reedstar began to share news Emberstar of ShadowClan stepped from the shadows her tail swishing and eyes glistening with hatred.
"You RiverClan cats think you can get out of this war because your a bunch of Fish Eaters!?" She snarled.
"You are all just weak. You think because you don't want to fight you won't suffer? WELL YOU ARE WRONG!"she snarled. Reedstar stood up.
"We are far from weak Emberstar. Your cats are just weak minded. Your clan has survived on your same land for many moons so what makes now different?"Reedstar said curtly.
Emberstar looked up malice glinting in her deep copper eyes. I don't need to answer to a fish muncher like you. You have always been weak much like your clan. Solarpaw's clanmates hissed with outrage. HOW DARE YOU! Hopewing yowled.
Suddenly Emberstar leaped at Reedstar knocking him off his high branch on the oak and hitting the ground. NO! Solarpaw yowled. Running up to her leader as the clearing bursted into frantic and panicked mews when Emberstar Yowled for her branch. Let this be a warning. ShadowClan will no longer be attending your petty gatherings. Shocked gasps rippled through the clearing as she looked over at Reedstars motionless body briarwind looked up with sadness filled her eyes.
"He is losing a life." Briarwind said softly the two leaders leaped down from the tree and walked over to briarwind. Dawnstar was the first to speak.
"I'm so sorry." Dawnstar whispered
Hazelstar walked up.
"Starclan will be outraged. No life should be lost on the night of a truce." Hazelstar said looking up at the moon covered with clouds. Solarpaw's mind was whirling. She felt so dizzy. For a moment all she could see was the obscured moon then everything went black.
