~ Angela POV ~
When I woke up the next day, the sunrays of the morning sun had peeked through my curtains causing me to go blind for a second. I turned back over and buried my face in my pillow. I slept for a little while more, and then I heard pots and pans banging in the kitchen. Why must my parents be so loud? Sighing, I got up out of bed and dragged myself to the bathroom to take a shower and freshen up a bit. I have to get ready for the trip to the beach later, nevertheless.
When I had finished getting ready, the sweet smell of the bacon and the sizzling sound of it being cooked on the pan led me into the kitchen. “Is that bacon I smell?” I asked no one in particular.
“Well good morning to you, too.” my mom laughed.
I looked at the clock and realize it was already almost 10. Stella should be here any moment with Dave. Realizing that I still had breakfast to eat, I started scoffing down bacon and washed it down with a big gulp of orange juice.
“ANGELAAAAAAA!!!” I heard Stella calling out my name.
“I’m coming!” I said while running to get my bag while putting on my sandals. “Bye Mom! Bye Dad! I’ll be back a little late tonight! Don’t wait up for me!” and with that I left slamming the door.
“Hey guys.” I greeted my two amazing best friends while getting into the backseat of the car.
“Hey! I can’t believe it’s finally summer vacation! We finally get to have some fun without school being in the way!” Stella shouted out enthusiastically.
“Yeah, let’s go we don’t want to stay here for much longer.” I said to her, and with that, we went to the beach to have some fun.
We stayed at the beach and watched the sunset until it was dark and our stomachs began to growl. Stella decided to go to In-N-Out to eat some burgers. We, of course, agreed. I mean who would turn down those amazing burgers? They taste amazing!
The ride back to my house felt good. The wind blew my hair back and the weather wasn’t cold or hot, but just right in between. Dave was dropped off first than me because his house was farther away from mine and I live closer to Stella.
Once I was dropped off outside of my house I said goodbye to Stella and walked up to my door struggling to get my keys out of my pocket. When I finally got my keys out I opened the door careful not to wake my parents considering it was nearly midnight.
I completely forget about the squeak on the floor and stepped on it causing the floor to make a loud noise. Listening for my parents and hearing them sleeping peacefully, I sighed, relieved that I didn’t wake them.
Taking off my jacket and shoes I went into the kitchen to search for something to drink in the fridge. When I got into the kitchen I saw something glowing on the counter. Being very cautious, I walked up to the glowing object observing it. The glowing object turned out to be some sort of mail, but who was it for? Curiously picking it up, I opened the envelope and there was card inside. I opened the card and it revealed my name in fancy letters. I gasped.
I read the invitation aloud:
“You are cordially invited to the Blue Sky Royale Ball on:
May 6th at: 8:00 p.m.
Wear the dress delivered to you.”
Confusion swept over me. I looked around wondering what they were talking about. My eyes stopped on the counter and saw a huge box that I suppose is the dress. Was this here before? Something fishy is going on.
Continuing to read the invitation I saw that it was from two people named Magnolia and Timothy Sommers. Wait, did it just say Sommers? That last name sounds strangely familiar… Oh. Right! I remember now! It was that guy I met at school, Chris Sommers. I wonder where he disappeared to. Maybe it’s a prank?! This has got to be a prank, no wonder the invitation just glows out of nowhere, it’s probably a magic trick of some sort. Ah, who cares…?
I carelessly tossed the invitation in the trash can near the kitchen’s sink. Knowing that this is all over, I started walking upstairs to my room.
After walking two steps up the staircase, I saw that familiar glow from the trash can. It was illuminating half of the kitchen area with a pearly blue light. Now that, you don’t see every day. Not knowing what to do, I stupidly walked towards the light. Then I blacked out…
Waking up from an awful dream, the first thing I see is a two story house lingering its shadow upon me. My curiosity led me to an adventure…
~ Chris POV ~
I think my plan had worked. I ‘m sure of it! She should be here, outside of my house any minute now.
I waited. Minute after minute after minute of waiting, I finally heard something. Walking towards my window I peeked through my curtains and saw a shadow. Squinting to see the shadow more clearly, I noticed it was Angela. Internally cheering, I waited for her to come in so my plan could be put into action. I noticed she was starting to walk up to my door so I went up to the door to wait for her and put her to sleep once again. She’ll just think this is one big dream.
“Hello?” I heard her whisper and shout out while in the house.
Coming back around the door, I grabbed her and began my magic. After getting her to fall asleep I got her dress and magically got it on her since she probably wouldn’t want to put it on later and not wearing Blue Sky clothes means you can’t enter Blue Sky. I started to walk into my bedroom so I can open a portal into the Blue Sly world. Concentrating all my magic on opening the portal, it appeared, and I pulled Angela back up to her feet and carefully placed her on my back. I slipped into the portal that leads me back to Blue Sky, with my one and only objective, Angela.
~ After entering into Blue Sky ~
“Take her to the master bedroom; I’ll be up there in a little while.” I ordered one of the maids, carefully handing over Angela off my back.
“And you! Go help her!” I told one of the guards.
Once they left I went to go look for my parents in the room they’re always at, the Royal Bedroom.
“Hey Mom! Hey Dad! I’m back!” I walked up to them and gave them both kisses on the cheeks, filled with joy.
“How’d it go, son?” my dad asked me while stroking his short, never growing white beard.
“It went better than I had expected. I didn’t even have to force her or anything.” I said nonchalantly.
“Why would you think you would have to force her?” my mother asked me, surprised that I would even think of such a thing.
“Mother, just because you restrict yourself from violence doesn’t mean that Dad and I have to, too.” I told her.
Continuing so I wouldn’t get a lecture I told her, “Oh, well look at the time! I have to go check on Angela! Bye!” and I ran out only thinking about Angela’s safety and that I need to get to Angela before she wakes up. I need to convince her that it’s a dream.
