~ Angela POV ~
Chris was leading me somewhere through a long hallway with a red carpet that was laid all across the hall making it seem like I was some hollywood superstar making a grand entrance except without all those flashing camera and screaming fans... I wasn't sure where we were going since he didn't really say much which made it really awkward. I'm guessing he was bringing me to his parents again? We came to a stop in front of a room with a large double door. He pushed it open and what I saw wasn't what I was expecting.
His parents were trapped in some sort of pretty purple glowing light surrounded by a group of men dressed in black clothing.
Being the girl I am, I went to hide behind Chris for safety which didn't really help at all since he was just as shocked as me and had no idea what to do. "What's going on, Chris?" I whispered to him.
He didn't say anything to me so I was going to ask again but he answered right when I was going to speak again. "That's my brother and his evil friends." he spat out disgustingly.
"Y-your brother?" I asked anxiously, and completely scared out of my mind.
"Yeah, and if you're wondering why he's still alive, well, it's because we don't get killed easily." He explained to me as if he could tell by my facial expression that I was obviously confused as to why his dead brother came back to life when not long ago he wasn't alive and was taken to a cell...
"So why are they here?" I asked shakily, not really wanting an answer.
"You have power, very strong power, and once they get you, they're going to use it for evil. That's where I come in and protect you." He said in a serious tone.
"Me? Power? What are you talking about? And you're going to protect me? Are you serious? You couldn't even do anything earlier! And why is your so called brother still alive? I thought I killed him!"
I'm so going to have a headache after all of this is over. This is too much to take in all at once.
I put my hands on my temple. "Oh god. This is crazy. So this 'power' you say I have, how do I use it?" I asked him.
"That's for you to find out on your own." he smirked. Ugh! This is not the time to be joking around! Aren't I in danger? He should be teaching me magic, not hiding it from me!
"AHEM," we heard someone clearing their throat so we turned towards the sound. It was his brother who made that noise.
"Right, right they're still here," Chris said.
"Of course we're still here, brother, we still need that girl," his brother said while pointing at me who was still hiding behind Chris.
"Well, you're never going to have her. She will stay here and I will make sure of that." he said.
"Son, we would appreciate it if you would hurry up," I heard his father say to Chris.
He made a face I wasn't sure what it meant.
After that, I felt him walk forward to fight and left me alone in the middle of the room not knowing what to do. I want to help him and fight alongside with him, but I don't know how, and I don't want him to get hurt because if he does then I won't be protected anymore and be taken away by bad guys. What do I do? I don't wanna die!
Suddenly my hands started glowing blue and it was as if my body knew what to do because I jumped in the fight and aimed all my power at the guys while protecting Chris. They were trying to outdo my magic but I was too strong and I was doing so well. The guys began losing consciousness and one by one they fell to the ground. You're probably wondering why I didn't kill them right? Well first: that would just be mean, and second: my power isn't strong enough anyways.
