Growing Feet

Chapter 5

When we got to Kelly's Drew was laying on the floor with the dog while he was holding Kylie. All three of them were sleeping and I decided to snap a picture. 

We went into the kitchen and Kelly was at the table on her computer. "Hey guys. I was just finishing up the report for the missing child" she said finishing up her typing. Kelly is a child protective officer so she basically handles all child related law incidents that are reported.

"It's okay we're just here to pickup Drew"

"I thought he was gonna stay the night?" He asked.

"If you want him too he can, I just figured since you have Kylie you wouldn't want to have Drew also"

"If anything Drew makes it easier to have Kylie. She wouldn't stop crying so Drew started to play with her on the floor and next thing you know their both asleep" she laughed.

"He thinks of her as his little sister I think" I smiled looking back in the living room. They were still sleeping.

"But anyway he can stay here, have some fun tonight, it's probably been awhile since you've been able to go out"

"A few months" I laughed

"Why don't you go to Nick?" Kelly suggested.

"Well I was gonna stay and help"

"I have Jim. Go have fun, invite Hailey and Kasey and maybe even Jake, god knows you all need a drink after the past month or so" we nodded and soon after we left. I went back to my apartment and Nick followed.

We called Hailey, Jake, and Kasey. Jake was staying at home with Kason since he's been sick lately with his bone marrow deficiency. Hailey said she would come and she dropped Paisley off with Jake. Kasey said she would come too as long as she could comeback and be with Mason. We all met at my apartment at 9 before going to the local bar downtown.

We had a few drinks before Kasey said she was gonna go back to the hospital. She only had one beer so she was okay to drive. After a few more drinks the three of us decided to leave. Nick called an uber and the uber dropped us off at Hailey's then me and nick off at my place. Nick payed him and we went inside.

We were both drunk and laughing a ton before we layed on the couch. I turned on If I Stay and layed on his chest. He started combing my hair with his fingers and we started to talk.

"I really missed you nick"

"I missed you too Taylor"

"Why didn't you try to contact me?"

"I was scared too. You had Drew and told me never to talk to you again and I didn't know what to do so when I went to college I tried to forget about you but I couldn't stop thinking about you and Drew. Every time I talked to my mom I asked about you and when she said you were doing good I thought you were better off without me"

"I always wanted you back Nick. I'm in love with you"

"You're in love with me?"

"I was in love with you" I stumbled.

"That's not what you said"

"It's what I meant to say"

"No it wasn't" he said inching closer to my face.

"Yes it was" I whispered before I kissed him.

He pulled me on top of his lap and I continued to kiss him. I took off his shirt and broke the kiss to lift it over his head.

"Taylor your drunk"

"No I'm not" I said kissing his neck.

"Taylor stop. You are drunk and I'm not doing this while you drunk" he said putting me back next to him on the couch.

"Nick I want you"

"Taylor that is not you talking. It's the alcohol"

"Nick if it was the alcohol would I do this" I said as I ran my hand on his chest and started kissing his neck.

"Yes yes you would" he said stopping me.

"Okay nick I know I've had a lot to drink but I want this. I want you. I can prove it to you when I'm sober."

"Then that's what you will have to do Taylor"

"Nick please"

"I'm not taking advantage of you Taylor"

"You won't be. I want this" I said kissing him.

"Taylor" he said trying to stop me again.

"Okay nick if you don't want me, tell me because I want you."

"I want you Taylor, I have since I first found out you were pregnant almost four years ago but I'm not doing this while we are both drunk"

"Okay fine" I said as I went up to my room. I changed into some pajamas and climbed into bed.

Nicks POV

"Okay fine" she said leaving the living room. I sighed as I shut the tv off. I wanted to be with her and I want to kiss her but I'm not gonna take advantage of her.

I decided to go check on her and she was just laying in bed. I brought her some water and Advil and she took them.

"I'm sorry" she said as I sat at the foot of her bed.

"It's okay"

"Why don't you sleep in here. I promise I won't try anything" I nodded and got in bed with her. She snuggled close to me and we fell asleep a little while after.

Taylors POV

I woke up next to nick and smiled at him. I kissed him and he woke up. "Well good morning to you too" he smiled at me.

I laughed before sitting up. I drank some water  and went to the bathroom.

I changed into some shorts and a tshirt before going to get some coffee. I walked in the kitchen and nick made me some. I smiled at him and sat down at the table.

"How'd you sleep?" He asked sitting down next to me.

"Better than ever before" I smiled and kissed him.
