I woke up the next morning laying next to nick. We were cuddled up next to each other and when I opened my eyes I realized we were still naked. I grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around me while I went to the bathroom. I went pee then turned the shower on. I dropped the blanket and hopped in the shower. Minutes later the bathroom door opened and Nick got in the shower.
"Good morning" he said to me smiling.
"Good morning" I said going on my tip toes to kiss him. He picked me up even though it was hard because I was soaking wet. We started kissing again and he rubbed his hands all over my body. My hands were tangled in his hair.
15 minutes later we decided to get out of the shower and get ready to go get Drew. "I love you Taylor" Nick said to me as I was doing my makeup.
"I love you too" I smiled up at him.
We left and made it to Jessie's. I walked into the house and Drew got up from the table and ran to me.
"Mommmyyy" he yelled running with his arms wide open.
"Hi baby" I said hugging him. I picked him up and kissed his forehead. "I missed you, did you have fun?"
"Mommy, grandma let me sleep in her bed and we had ice cream. And I have pancakes" he said rambling to me.
"Okay lets go finish your pancakes baby" I said carrying him back to the table. Jake was sitting down with Paisley and Jessie was doing the dishes.
"Good morning everyone" I said walking in the kitchen. I put Drew down and he went to eat his pancakes.
"Good morning" Jessie smiled at me.
For the rest of the day we hung out at Jessie's and went swimming. We went home around 7pm and layed on the couch.
Nick and Drew fell asleep while I held Drew finishing Life of Pets on Netflix. I stood up holding Drew and took him to his bed. He woke up a little bit but soon fell back asleep. I tucked him in and kissed his forehead.
When I went back into the living room Nick was still sleeping. I grabbed some blankets from the closest and Covered him up. I kissed him and went into the bedroom. I got on my pajamas and rolled into bed.
I woke up to the sound of someone coming in my room. It was Nick. "I'm sorry, i didn't mean to wake you" he said cuddling next to me.
"It's okay, I like sleeping better when your next to me" I said before he kissed my forehead and we fell asleep.
A few hours later I heard Nick roll out of bed and soon came back with Drew in his arms. He looked like he had been crying.
"What happened baby?" I asked Drew as he cuddle up to my chest.
"I had a bad dream" he cried.
"Okay well you can sleep in here"
"I'll go back into the living room" Nick whispered.
"No I want you to stay" Drew said to him. He grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back in bed. "You and mommy keep the monsters away" he said before rolling over into Nicks chest.
We all got comfortable again before falling back asleep together.
The next morning I woke up and Drew was watching Chuggington on the tv in the living room. Nick was in the kitchen cooking and I had to get ready for work.
I got dressed for work and went into the kitchen to eat before I had to leave.
"What are you guys gonna do today?" I asked Nick.
"I think I'm gonna take him to go see the new Transformers movie and then go get ice cream"
"Ice cream?" Drew said excitedly.
"Only if your good" I said.
"I will mommy" he said shoving pancakes in his mouth.
I finished eating before kissing Nick and Drew goodbye and going to work.
"Taylor, Micheal is on the phone and it sounds important" my assistant said to me as I walked into my office. I nodded before closing the door and picking up the phone.
"Hello this is Taylor how may I help you?"
"Taylor it's micheal"
"Hello Micheal what can I do for you?"
"The teen boy you sent to us last week..."
"Thomas?"
"Yes. He is doing amazing. He has been so cooperative and has really made a turn around"
"That's brilliant"
"There is one slight problem though. He is having trouble sleeping at night. I'll go on night checks and he'll be awake till 3-4 in the morning"
"He isn't used to sleeping in a home, let alone a bed Micheal"
"I understand this but I was wondering if there's any tips?"
"I would suggest getting a nightly routine going for him. Like dinner, shower, game time, bed. Routine is a necessity for children and even more important for at risk children."
"You're a miracle worker Taylor" Micheal said before hanging up the phone.
Micheal is one of our top shelter facilities. We council at risk children, while he homes them. Our system has been in place for years but starting last year our turn around has been phenomenal. More than 60% of the children we council and home have gotten back on their feet and have gotten jobs while they stay with Micheal. When Micheal thinks it's time for them to leave they are able to leave and either go home or they are put into a home found by Jessie, my coworker. It's never worked so well before.
Hey guys! I'm sorry this is short and kinda a filler chapter! I have major writers block so anyway suggestions would sincerely help! Thank you for all the love given to this story so far!!
