Rune the Shinigami (Grell x OC/Reader)

Chapter 10

~Rune's PoV~

I yawn and wake up. I look over and I don't see Grell beside me. I get dressed and walk to his room. I knock but there is no answer. I walk into his room and his room is a mess and his window's are open. I run out of his room, my death scythe in hand. "SEBASTIAN!!!" I scream at the top of my lungs. "What happened, Rune!?" Sebastian looks over at me who is currently giving Ciel and Elizabeth breakfast. I hide my death scythe behind my back, knowning Lizzy does not know who I really am. "Grell is gone! I think William got him!" I shout, tears coming from my eyes. Ciel gets up from the table. "Sebastian this is an order, go with Rune and save Grell" Ciel says. Sebastian nods "Yes my lord". I then reveal my death scythe and run out of the manor, Sebastian following. I immediantly run to where William's hide out is. I hear screaming and it sounds like Grell. "Grell!" I shout out and run inside. Sebastian slows down and so do I. I see Will with his death scythe at Grell's neck. "Let him go!" I shout and tackle him. "Sebastian, get Grell!" I yell and start swinging my sword death scythe at Will. "Ha! You can't kill me, little sister" William laughs. I ignore his snide comment and continue thrashing at him. I feel a burning pain in my side and leg but I ignore it. I slash William's arm and face. He rolls us over and he is on top of me. "Say hi to the devil for me!" Will says and begins to cut my throat. "No!" I hear Grell shout and he jumps and tackles William. Grell slashes Will's face open then I hear a gurgling sound then a thud. I then hear a maniac laugh. Sebastian quickly takes action and kills William and grabs Grell. "G-Grell?" I mutter. No answer. I get up and see Grell. Tears spring into my eyes and I start crying. "Rune we must get back" Sebastian says and runs off. I quickly run after him

We reach the manor and as soon as I enter, I fall to the ground, crying my eyes out. Lizzy runs to my side and tries to comfort me. "G-Grell can't die! Not yet!" I choke out.

~Grell's PoV~

I wake up and find myself in the manor's infermary. "Grell! You're alive!" I hear a familiar voice cry out and hug me. "I will never leave you, my beautiful Rune" I whisper and smile. Rune cries on my shoulder, I sit up and hug her. "Hush its okay, its okay. I'm alive" I coo her. She smiles and kisses me. I happily kiss her back. Sebastian walks in to check on my wound. "Is this a bad time?" Sebastian chuckles. "You're good, Sebastian" Rune answers him. Sebastian walks over and checks my neck. "That wound healed quickly, but you are a Grim Reaper after all" Sebastian informs. Rune smiles and hugs Sebastian. "Thank you for saving Grell, Sebastian" Rune murmurs. "You're welcome, Rune" Sebastian says and walks out. I get up and go to walk to my room and get changed. "Well it looks like there is no need to protect Ciel anymore now that William is dead" Rune says and sits on my bed, playing with my hair. "But...I don't wanna go back. We had a lot of memories here...special memories" I sigh sadly and look up at Rune. "You don't have to leave" I hear Ciel say, who is leaning on the door. "Really!?" I nearly fall off my bed in excitement. "Yeah, you did protect me after all. Its the least I could do" Ciel replies. I run over and hug Ciel. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" I shout out. "Let go!" Ciel mumbles. I let go and smile at Ciel then I walk back to my bed where Rune is sitting. I grab Rune and kiss her. "Looks like we will be staying here" I smile at Rune. She nods and smiles back at me.
