No ones P.O.V.
She was a girl who blended in, yet stood out. You could say she was just another reserved and quiet girl. You could walk past her and not notice her presence at all. To you, she would just seem like an ordinary stranger. She was that person for a long time. Her smile faded as she grew up. Nothing seemed exciting anymore. The girl longed for a life of value. A life of difference.
As a small child, the girl was happy. She relished in the excitement of new discoveries everyday. As a toddler all the way up to age five, she made a decent amount of friends (they would soon diminish as she moved away from them). Her mother would spend the most time with her, while her father was barely home.
The girl would remember hearing the front door slide open then slam shut along with the heavy footsteps of her father enter her home. She would get all giddy, but remember not to go downstairs at that moment. Her feelings of excitement and joy would quickly fade when she would hear her mother's harsh voice directed at him. He would then just gave a quick, smart ass slur and stumble off to snooze on the couch. Nights were frequently like this.
One day, her father never came back home. That's when the little girl would move places a lot with her mother. Her mother began struggling financially and spending less and less time with the child. The girl lost touch with all the friends she had left. She became less social. She would still make the best out of life though and always make her mother smile. She still had hope that things would change for the good.
As she grew older, however, life grew boring to her and got worse as the pressure was put on her to make it through high school and into a decent college.
Academics weren't any easier and pushed her to the limit to work hard and smart. She learned not attract too much attention. The more she blended in, the more she would attract less attention from the arrogant, "rulers" of the school.
It was, of course, impossible no to get hurt by them. She would remember walking down the halls of the building, when they would walk by and she would catch someone's disapproving eye. Or answer a question wrong in class, only to be met with a few mysterious laughs some students failed to
hold back.
The first year of high school was the worst. The girl would barely talk to anyone and definitely came off as a weird, shy type who had no friends. Yes, it was true. She rarely spoke to anyone, focusing more on her grades and upcoming tests.
At least the now, teenager, made a couple friends during the second year of high school. They were quite weird, but relatable to her. They were the only ones who understood her in the slightest. She knew she could go to them whenever hurt or confused. They would always have her back, no matter what. It might of selfish of her, but she felt like she needed more in her life. No amount of friends could change that.
The teen began to understand that she would be non other than a simple commoner like everyone else. In her case, she would even be below that. The girl could envision her whole life and future in one second. She didn't want a normal life. She wanted an exciting, blood pumping life, full of danger. And she was about to get it, but she would have to make some sacrifices on order for that to happen......~~~~
