"(Y/N). Hey, (Y/N)."

I snapped out of my daze. I had been thinking about my mom. If what Slender said was true, she and everyone I had known a few months ago would never even know I existed. If I were to walk by them in the street, they would look right through me. No longer feeling love for me. It was unfair. It was so unfair.

I had every right to be angry towards Slender. It had taken the last of my family way.

I tried swallowing the lump in my throat to subside my tears. Luckily, none slipped out. I would always force my tears back, no matter the pain. Only being by myself was an exception in order for the faucet to run.

I looked up to see good ol Laughing Jack. Putting on my smiley face, I chuckled.

"Hey, Jack."

"Hey yourself," he spoke in a cheery voice. Scratching his chin, he tried to think of something to say.

"I'm so-.....You know-.......Look,"

The clown seemed to finally find the right words to say aloud, "I'm not really good with takin 'bout this sorta stuff, but-"

He paused again. Then a wide grin spread across his pale face.

"I know a great way to cheer you up...."

Before I knew it, I was being dragged out of the mansion. After about a half hour of riding on his back through the woods, Jack slowed his pace, but not before covering my eyes with his claw-like hands. We kept walking for 10 minutes before he uncovered them. My face scanned the familiar old theme park we had gone to a week or two ago.

"Surprise!" shouted the clown as he somersaulted over the grounds. It took me a while to get it at first, but then I looked closer around the place. Of course! How could I have missed it! The lights were on around the whole area. Laughing Jack trotted over to a metallic box and flipped a switch. Carnival music softly played around the park.

"Won't people, like, hear it?" I asked worriedly. He shook his head, "It's a magical theme park" He whispered to me with one hand shielding one side on his face, even though no one was there. I raised a brow. "And even if some do get in somehow, it'll be twice the fun that more guests have arrived." The clown chuckled but he sounded off. Unstable. I chose to ignore the slight fear of what would happen if someone else did happen to wander in our direction.

The clown led me to a stand with some stuffed animals and rifles. It was basically a miniature shooting range. "Time to use those skills that Jeffy-boy taught you." Jack mused. Pushing down the thought of Jeff, I walked up to one of the guns. As Laughing Jack cued up the music, the thought of Jeff forced its way back into my mind again. Why did he have to go and do something so stupid like that (drink)? He should know better.

I lined up the weapon at the target.

Right when I had considered him alright.

I squinted to aim straighter.

I had even grown attached to him.

Taking a deep breath, I prepared to pull the trigger.

I couldn't believe I was actually starting to feel welcome in this shithole-

BANG

Like I would fit in.

BANG

I was average.

BANG

Weak.

BANG

I knew it.

BANG

Everyone did.

I had no business here. Laughing Jack held up a stuffed rabbit with a button eye missing. I didn't care. I ignored it.

BANG

A sudden shake pulled me out of my thoughts. I turned to see Jack looking a bit confused, "Eh...kiddo?" "Yeah?" I replied. "You won!" he cheered giddily. "Oh." was all I said. "Six shots, five right on target." he said with a smile, "Not bad.~" My shoulders shrugged as if it was nothing. "Though you shot your prize too..." he trailed off, holding the decapitated rabbit, bits of fluffy white stuffing falling out of it and to the gravely-ground. "It looks better like that." I mumbled. The clown seemed to take a liking to my twisted word and grinned a toothy grin. Handing me the plushie, he began dragging me to the next event in the park. Looking at the stuffed animal, I had to admit I was surprised I had all that inside of me. I guess letting your anger out in combat really does do a great deal of damage. I'd have to remember that in case I'd get into more....dangerous predicaments down the road.

By the time LJ and I got home, it was pitch black. I rubbed my arms up and down for warmth, exhaling sharply. Stepping into the mansion, I was greeted by the faint smell of burning wood. At first, I was worried somebody had started a fire. As I glided into the living room, I saw Slender sitting in a leather armchair, reading by a lit fireplace. Smiledog was laying near it. It was fascinating to see such creatures relaxing so casually.

"Greetings, child," Tim spoke, appearing out of nowhere, making me jump a little.

"H-hello." I stuttered.

"No need to be anxious, I won't bite." Spoke Tim/Slender

I sighed, looking at the rather comforting fire. Whenever I stared at the fire, I always felt good, like I was in good hands, even though the intensity of the heat made me tear up. It was sort of hypnotizing, in a good way.

Slowly, I took a step towards the tall being. The room was silent for a while, except for the crackling fire.

"I imagine you had quite a scare during the incident with Jeffrey." Tim/Slender spoke, "I heard his obnoxious vulgar from all the way down in my office."

My face flushed at the thought of the powerful creature knowing exactly what had happened. "I-I'm really sorry, sir. I didn't mean to cause a disturbance-" I was silenced by Tim/Slender groaning in annoyance, "Now, now, child. You know it wasn't your fault that Jeffrey chose to take a sip from that whiskey bottle."

I bowed my head.

"It's HIS fault I had to clean up that goddamn bottle he had flung to the floor." Anger was clearly present in his voice.

All I could do was nod and awkwardly stand there.

"Not to mention break up his little make-out session with some prostitute."

My eye twitched. I wasn't surprised someone like him would do that sorta stupid shit.

"I even had to clean HER up. The blood even got on my suit!"

I couldn't help but smile. I shouldn't have, I really shouldn't, but the thought that there weren't any feelings involved relieved me. Then the guilt set in. The corners of my mouth fell again. I shouldn't be worried about who he's fucking. I should hate every last bit of him, inside and out. He tried to rape me for Christ's sake!

My voice gave out a sharp grunt as I hobbled up to my room. The hallway was cold. I could hear the floorboards creak each step I took. Making my way down the hall, a sudden chill ran up my spine. The lights flickered faintly and I stopped my heartbeat ringing clearly in my ears. The only sound was my walking and the metallic-sounding hum of the electricity running through the mansion. I had always wondered how they got things like electricity and wifi when they weren't in any position exactly to pay any bills.

After a few moments, I finally decided that my fear was pathetic and stomped across the hallway to my room. Just as my arm reached for the knob, a low familiar voice sounded behind me. "We need to talk."
