She was standing in the staircase
when their eyes met.
She could see a smile in his lips
and a blink in her eyes .
And a drop fell rolling down her cheeks ,
when they got aside.
He lift her hand with all his might,
held a ring and slipped it in
and kissed her palm with his gentle lips.
She brushed her hand through his brow
and bent a little to kiss his crown.
It hurted her!! It hurted her like hell!!
She asked her past with a sob of despair
"Was it hard letting him go??"
She nodded with a fake smile on her lips,
"No it wasn't ,
it wasn't as hard as
holding someone
that wasn't for real"...........
