I walked down the lane,
Passing the river by.
When I saw a couple standing with pride.
Under the sky when the air was in a shade of red,
It was just before the sunset.
The boy held her hand and kissed her head.
She felt shy and leaned her head on his arm
And it looked as if they were truely made.
I remembered those days of your happy stay.
We were like them living in our own space,
Making our way in the hardest race.
We promised to never leave us alone,
But see now our future has flown .
It makes me sad to think of you ,
And to think of your last days.
I tried a lot to save you but I couldn't .
And it hurts me more to think of the pain
that you suffered sitting beside me in the hospital bed.
I know you cried a lot although you wiped them all,
But I knew from those marks that it hurted you all.
Then the sun faded away ,
Spreading the darkness all the way.
And my heart spoke in a shaky tone
''May the winds of heaven blow gently,
And whisper in your ears .
To tell you how much I love you and miss you
And I wish that you were here.....''
