Chapter 6 ⚜Thanks

Breakfast ended and the Twelve separated, so each person would do something different.

Rowe went back to the kitchen with Charles, Tamara went to the field outside with Aneeka to practice targeting, and Elfre and the others just went to their rooms, leaving Valeriana and Corvan together alone in the dining room. Corvan was about to leave, when she stopped him.

"Wait! I need to talk to you!" She screamed out loud on the top of her lungs. "Hm?" Corvan wanted to go read a book in his room, but this interested him more, so he decided to stay. "

"Uhhh....thanks...."

"For what, I did nothing." Once he said that, he started walking away, but Valeriana did not let him pass.

"Wait please, I need to talk more!" She was desperate, while Corvan started to get really irritated. "Now what do you want?"

"I just really wanted to thank you for everything you've done to me, for all the times that you helped me out. I feel bad that your doing all good things for me, but I really did nothing for you. I just wanted you to know that if you need help with anything, I'll be there!" Valeriana couldn't believe she actually she said those words to Corvan, but at the same time she felt like it was the right thing to do. For some reason, she felt good about it.

Corvan felt a smirk coming up. He really didn't expect her to be the one to say that to him, but it somehow felt comforting. He didn't say anything, but he felt a sort of attraction to this girl. "What am I thinking" Corvan said inside his head. His face got a little red, but he managed to shake it off and focus on reading that book. In return, he said, "Ok, well I'm going to go read my book now. See you at lunch." He usually doesn't act that polite, and he didn't even know what he just said. He knew he was hiding his feelings, but he didn't want to show it since he was afraid that it would ruin his pride. Him liking some ordinary fifth ranker, pfft, no. It would go straight on the first page of the news papers, not going to happen.

"Well, I'll go now, bye!" Valeriana and Corvan walked in opposite directions as they left to their rooms. "I wonder what he/she is doing this night."

Hey guys, what's up! So, for like the 15th time, I know the chapters are short but I'm coming back home on Wednesday so I will get ALOT more internet. Then, I can actually start making progress on the story! I tried to get a little Corval in this chapter, and trust me it will get to a level where you will jump up and down while screeching on the top of your lungs fangirling.
