Chapter 7 ⚜ Awkward

Before I start this chapter, I just wanted to let you guys know that I made it back home, and I have Internet connection now. So, expect longer chapters, and enjoy the story!

The day of the duel was coming up closer and closer each day, but Valeriana still couldn't figure out who it was that wanted to battle her. She knew she had to do something about this, and she will, but she had to think of a plan. Anyways, it didn't matter right now because she had classes and she had to focus on that. Great, she had SO much going on right now. Plus, the talk with Corvan, she didn't think he was going to act that nice to her. Whatever, right now is definitely NOT the time.

Corvan's POV

Why was he so nice to Valeriana all of a sudden, why was she nice to him all of a sudden, what is going on? He couldn't let this bother him, especially not now. Corvan couldn't stop thinking about that duel either, how will it end? Who will be the victor? Even though the person who challenged Valeriana is stronger, and he knew she was just a human, but there could be things she's hiding from all of us. But he knew he had to stop thinking about all these random topics that don't even matter, he obviously needs to go to class, and if he's late then that might ruin his pride.

Crap. Both Valeriana and Corvan say in unison in their minds as they rush towards the door, taking long footsteps each step they take.

Valeriana's POV

I'm gonna be late. I'm gonna be late. I can't be late, I just can't be late. As Valeriana was struggling to get to the door, she wasn't paying attention to where was was walking. Sure enough, she bumped into something, rather someone, as hard as a rock.

What the heck?

Valeriana looked up to see some alluring emerald eyes with a strange spark in them.

They both blushed aand sort of just stood there. Corvan helped Valeriana get up, which surprised her because she thought he was going to say "Look at where or going stupid witch" or "What is wrong with you", but no he didn't.

(A/N: If you haven't figured it out yet, it's Corvan that she bumped into and I know, I said that his chest felt like hard rock. I mean, with Corvan that's kind of expected, right? Or am I just weird. Anyways, back to the story.)

It was really awkward, both their cheeks were red and they both forgot about classes. By this time, the bell rang, and that's when they got back their senses.

"I'm going to be late!" Valeriana and Corvan said in unison as they both ran into the hallway in opposite directions.

In all of Valeriana's classes, she was so distracted on what happened, and what could have happened if the bell didn't ring. Thankfully, she made it just in time. She also wondered if Corvan made it to his class in time. I hope he wasn't late. Why am I all of a sudden so worried about Corvan?!?

In all of Corvan's classes, he was also so distracted on what happened, and why he helped Valeriana get up. It was like he wasn't controlling his body at all. Something just possessed him and made him reach his arm out to help her. At the same time though, he couldn't stop thinking about her. I hope she made it to class in time. In a way, he knew that he somewhat liked her, but of course, he would never tell anyone about it. It would totally ruin his pride, which will be the least he'd want. Especially if word goes out to his parents. Oh-oh. In class, this was all he was thinking about.

Hey guys, what's up! So I tried to make this chapter longer, and I'm so sorry for the wait. I know you guys thought I was dead, but I'm alive. The next chapter will come shortly, since I am going to be working on it right after I publish this. I do have a few things in mind, and I want to write them down before I forget. Anyways, this chapter was definitely one of my longest ones with 768 words in it.
