Murdoc's mind was an unhinged disaster as he raced out of his alleyway at full speed. The wide spread of questions and answers that he had now found himself drowning in was overwhelming. But his main focus, the one thing his brain could decide on, was that he needed Stuart.
The raven haired teen bumped and tripped over people on his way, getting cursed and spat at in the process, but he ignored all of it. Out there, someone was thinking of him, maybe waiting for him even. It was a bittersweet feeling. One that Murdoc couldn't possibly solve on his own. Love was such a foreign emotion in his life, trying to decode it could take decades. However, the fear he felt when thinking of what love could do to someone was far outweighed by his feelings for the bluenette.
By the time Murdoc reached the park, clouds blocked out the setting sun as a dark and gloomy feeling settled over Crawly. He looked around frantically for the electric blue hair he'd grown so fond of in the past few months. Suddenly, as a glimpse of the cobalt caught the corner of his eye, he flipped his head around to see Stuart sitting on one of the two lone swings that sat near the edge of the park.
His head was hung towards the ground and his blue locks hid his expression. The bluenette's hands held loosely to the metal chain of the swing and he shuffled his feet in the gravel beneath him.
Murdoc's heart nearly stopped at the sight. On one hand, he was glad he was there. He hadn't ran off or broke his word. On the other hand, he had to face him now. The raven haired teen couldn't just back out after coming all this way. He wouldn't dream of it.
The heals of Murdoc's boots dug into the gravel as he ambled towards the swings where Stuart sat with his eyes downcast. He slowly claimed the seat beside Stuart, finally drawing the attention of the younger male beside him.
The bluenette's crystal blue eyes lit up as he looked at Murdoc. He couldn't believe it! Murdoc actually came back, even after reading the note that revealed his feelings. Then a certain realization hit him. Maybe Murdoc wasn't here to reply to his feelings, but rather make fun of him for them. Mock him for how disgusting it was to be loved by another man. Laugh at the fact that the bluenette had admitted such feelings for him.
Stuart's eyes fell back to the ground as he slowly rocked back and forth on the swing. Murdoc just continued looking over at him, his fringe lightly hindering his vision as he thought of the right words to say.
"... Thank you, Stuart."
The short sentence came out slowly from Murdoc's mouth but was full of sincerity and meaning. His heart was now pounding a million miles a second in his chest, hoping that he would be able to fully convey his feelings to the beautiful bluenette.
Stuart's eyes shot to the man beside him, Murdoc's mouth curved into a gentle smile while his brown doughy orbs stared intensely at him. He couldn't stop as a fervent blush fell onto his pale cheeks.
"For wha'?" Stuart asked hesitantly, no longer being able to hold the bassist's stare.
Murdoc collapsed his hands together, pausing a moment to think before responding.
"Everythin' really. You put up with me even when I was bein' a real stubborn arse. Tha' nigh' at the bar... I screwed up. I'll be honest with ya, Stu; I neva considered tha' ya migh' be a bloke. When ya stopped sendin' letters, it gave me a chance ta meet the real you. An'... I discovered tha' I really like you, Stu."
Murdoc's voice softened as he squeezed out the last sentence. A thick silence hung in the air between the two for a minute before the insanely red-faced Stuart spoke up, forcing his eyes to meet Murdoc's.
"Ya didn't screw up, Muds. I-I should've told ya tha' nigh', but I thought I migh' disappoint ya. I-I don't deserve ya, Muds. But I....... I love you."
Now the flushed Stuart was joined by an equally red Murdoc. The unpleasant silence made its debut once again, each one waiting for the other to make the next move.
Not but a minute later, Murdoc stood to his feet. Stuart's eyes quickly followed, scared the bassist might be considering leaving. But those thoughts were quickly dashed as the raven haired teen sauntered over in front of Stuart, and offered out a hand to get him off the swing.
The bluenette slowly claimed the hand, and was once again surprised as Murdoc pulled him into a hug. Being as short as he was (compared to Stuart at least), he wrapped his arms around Stuart's waist while the other was quick to return the unexpected affection by wrapping his arms around Murdoc's neck.
Murdoc slightly pulled away so he could look up into Stuart's brilliant blue eyes before he spoke.
"If anythin', I don't deserve you, Stupot."
Stuart smiled fondly at his innocent expression as his pale hand cupped the bassist's left cheek, rubbing the pad of his thumb over the skin gently.
"Nonsense. I'm the luckiest guy alive."
With that, Stuart leaned down hesitantly before planting his cold lips on Murdoc's chapped ones.
The kiss was quick yet unleashed a heated passion between the two. As if all the buried feelings the two had been hiding deep down were revealed to a giant spotlight for everyone to witness. A simple burst of emotion that had been abandoned now reincarnated itself in the kiss shared by the two.
Murdoc couldn't help himself.
As Stuart began to pull away from the precious moment, Murdoc grabbed the front of his shirt and pull his lips back down on his own. The pianists eyes widened at the aggressiveness but quickly melted into the kiss, surrendering to the shorter teen's advances.
Eventually however, the kiss broke. Each man equally gasping for air after being joined together for so long. Murdoc leaned his head against Stuart's chest and slid both of his hands down to meet the bluenette's, intertwining their fingers.
"I love you too, Stuart."
