May: *thinks: I don't know if I can trust Creek. There's something about him that I don't like all of a sudden*
Branch's place
Poppy was still a bit sore from yesterday. The scars were gone, but she still felt pain in her body & ankle barely healed. When it comes to Branch, She started to get more curious about his character. He hardly smiles, he never sings, or dances.
Poppy: You know, I don't get you.
Branch: What?
Poppy: How did a troll like you end up in the woods? And to be honest, I've never seen a grey troll before.
Branch: It's a long story.
Poppy: You can tell me.
Branch: Alright. Honestly, I use to live in the kingdom.
Poppy: Really? I guess I've never noticed since my father hardly let's me walk in the village.
Branch: Anyway....
Flashback: Eighteen Years Ago
I use to be like everyone else. I was raised by my grandmother ever since I was little. Sometimes, I would go & play with a really good friend of mine. She was always joyful & happy. I made a promise that we would see each other again. But, my grandma got ill next day & it got worse. At first, I didn't think it was serious, til she got paler.
Branch: Grandma, I promised that I'd go play with her again. Can you drop me off?
Grandma Rosiepuff: I don't have much time left.......
Branch: W-what? What are you talking about, Grandma...?
Grandma Rosiepuff: Thank you for making these five years the best.....Please take this...

Grandma Rosiepuff: No, Branch...You have to stay strong.....I'm glad I get to spend my life with you....I love you, my dear child.....*eyes close for the final time*
Branch: *tears stream out* Grandma....! GRANDMA!!
That was the last time I saw her. I lost my colors & my happiness on the same day. It made me realize that I couldn't stay in the kingdom anymore.
Branch: *looks at the picture of me & my friend* I'm sorry.....but, I can't stay here anymore.
I left the only home I ever had that night, that was when I found this place.

Branch held his grandmother's pendent in his fist tightly.
Branch: I haven't been to the kingdom since.....
Poppy felt her heart shatter into a million pieces. She never knew trolls could go grey due to sadness & depression. Poppy got on her feet & hugged the grey troll.
Branch: !!
Poppy: I'm really sorry. I understand what it's like to lose someone close to you.
Branch felt his heart flutter & hugged her with one arm. He can't explain the feeling he has right now, but he knew it was love.
