If Only - Jake Paul

Chapter 2|| "Strangers."

  I hit my alarm clock in frustration which just made it fall on the floor. I lifted my weighted blanket from myself. Allowing the cold air from my open window to hit me.

I miss my warmth now.

"Why can't I just be sleeping beauty, I could sleep forever".

     I looked at the time realizing it's only 8:00 am I probably just woke up a couple of people with my slight yelling. I got up rubbing my eyes, trying to find my way to my shower.

Afterward I put my alarm clock back on my nightstand, I picked up my phone and put it in my sweatpants pocket. In an attempt to keep the house asleep I slowly walked downstairs. 

But as I walked down and turned the corner to the kitchen the one the only Jake Paul and I ran into each other causing us to fall down.

My back hit the floor as he hovered over me. His fluffy white hair covering his eyes, while his necklace dangled over me. I blushed through embarrassment.

That could've gone a lot smoother. I tried to laugh it off. He smiled and tried to get up but we went at the same time. Causing our heads to hit the other. He looked up at me as his forehead rested on mine.

I looked up at him I realized my glasses had come off so I felt around for them.

" Man my vision is horrid". I said

"Hey I know I'm not the most attractive guy here but-" he began

I cut him off placing my hand on the blue that was his face.

"Hey don't say that, I meant my vision is horrible without my glasses."

He grabbed my hand helping me up. He tucked both sides of my hair over my ears and placed my glasses on the bridge of my nose. I felt like it was just us in the world at that moment.

"Thank you," I said

Anthony walked out of his room wrapping his arm around me.

"Hey pretty lady." He smiled

His brown eyes shining back at me.

"Go get dressed, we're going to ihop." He said with finger guns

I smiled for a moment, until I looked back at Jake. His smile seemed to fall. He seemed disappointed. He walked into his office flipping his hoodie up. Slumping into his office chair and opening his Instagram.

I walked behind him running my hand on his shoulder.

"You know, if you want you can come with." I offered

His eyes lit up as he smiled. He's like a cute little puppy.

that's a no though. I can't mess things up for Tessa.

I sat across from Jake, with Anthony next to me on my right side. His arm laid across the back of my chair. As we ate Jake's email kept dinging.

"Okay mister popular." I joked

He laughed in reply

"Well actually, I'm trying to get these new creators into team ten since some of the guys are leaving."

I furrowed my brows in confusion

"Who?"

"AJ, and Emilio, Ivan, and Ericka Costell."

"Wait AJ as in the singer ?" I asked

He nodded

I rushed to my Instagram, tapping through my search history and to his page. I showed Jake the page.

"This one?" Jake nodded again

"Why are you so happy about it?" Anthony asked

"No reason."

One week later

I watched as the house seemed to disband. One by one each member left and I've on been here two weeks. But then again team ten has been around longer than I've been here.

Each person had a reason for going. But it makes the empty rooms feel lonely when they're gone.

I sat on the couch scrolling through my photos when a knock came to the door. I sat up to go open it but Jake beat me to the door.

He opened the door and a tall blonde girl wrapped her arms around him. As his arms clasped around her waist picking her up.

She smiled widely

"I missed you."

I crossed my arms looking them both up and down.

We can play that game.

The door opened again. Revealing three boys. Emilio, Ivan and AJ. I felt my heart beat through my ears as he stared at me. Man time has been sweet to him.

He dropped his bags walking up to me with open eyes.

"It's good to see you Mads." AJ said softly into my ear

"You too Aaron."

  "You two know each other ?" Jake asked

  Tessa budded in

  "They dated in middle school."

  I gave them a small smile

  "Wait it was longer?" Tessa asked

  "We dated up until I left for New York."

  "Four years and I didn't know ??" She asked

  AJ's face became red as Jakes eyes narrowed at him. AJ's phone rang lighting up his screen showing a picture of us.

I gave him a small sympathetic smile. I know how hard it's been. But I can't start anything right now. It could jeopardize everything for Tessa.
