Ironic Love (Dan Howell X Reader)

It was Joe.

You look at Mark, who is staring at Joe with hatred in his eyes. You had never seen Mark truly angry since you told him about some bullies - years ago in high school.

You appreciate that he protects, but you don't want him to cause a scene so you start to walk towards him...
  In a split second Mark rushes over to Joe and grabs him by the top of his shirt.
'I don't know who invited you but if you don't leave in ten seconds I swear to god I'll...'

Before he could finish, Ty pulled him towards the stairs.
'Go upstairs and cool off Mark!' Tyler insisted.

'What you're doing to Y/N is disgusting Joe! Soon everyone will know what a conniving bastard you really are!' He shouts as he walks upstairs.

Before disappearing into his room, he turns to you with guilt filling his eyes as he mouths the word 'sorry'.

Everyone who isn't talking to Joe turns and stares at you, expecting some sort of explanation.
'I have no clue what he's talking about... Let's just wait for Connor and film the video...'

You feel Dan's hand on your arm as he pulls you into the kitchen.
'What has Joe done to you?' He asks, his face filled with confusion and worry.
'Nothing,' you laugh, 'Don't worry.'

'I saw your face when Joe walked in. Do you really think I can't tell when you're lying?'

You run your hand through your hand and look at the floor.
'Well... I just got a bit upset with him... Phil told me everything Joe said to you and I can't stand him trying to hurt you like that....'
   You look up at him to persuade him that it's the truth. He pulls you in for a long hug..

'Hey, can I borrow Y/N for a sec?'

'Only if I come.'

'Dan, I'll only be a minute. I'll be fine. Let me go talk to Joe and I'll be back.'

'Anything he needs to say he can say it in front of me...'

'Dan, stop. I want to go talk to him alone. Stop being so protective- trust me I'll be fine.'

'I need to be protective Y/N. I don't think you should be talking to him.'

'Well you can't tell me what to do. Stop trying to protect me Dan, you're not my boyfriend so just leave me alone...'
