A dream come true

Previously. . .

"L-Let me take you home Lucy!" Gray suggested with a smile.

"O-Oh G-Gray!" Lucy was shocked to hear that from Gray. She knows that he confessed to her earlier a while ago, but she couldn't help but agree to his suggestion, "S-Sure!"

And the story continues. . .

Outside Lucy's apartment.

"Thanks for escorting me Gray." Lucy smiled.

"You're w-welcome." He smiled back, "S-So what now?" He asked.

She shook her head, "I-I d-don't know.." And she thought to herself, "We're both a-alone h-here.. I-Is this a chance? A chance to confess my feelings for him too?"

The situation was getting pretty awkward so Gray had to talk something out, "Uhmm Lucy, You know I confessed to you during the mission right?"

"Y-Yes.." Lucy nodded while blushing.

"I see. Well, I have to get going now. It's getting late."

Gray was about to leave when Lucy gripped his arm,

"Wait! Don't leave me alone!"

"H-Huh?"

"I-I l-like you too. No, I should say that, I-I love you, Gray.."

"L-Lucy..."

The wind blew across the two's faces. It was a quiet night with no one around. The atmosphere around them is getting intense somehow. Silence wrapped around the two mages. But then, that silence broke when Gray suddenly kisses Lucy's lips.

Lucy gasped, "G-Gray...!"

"I love you too Lucy.. I will protect you forever.."

"Gray.."

"Well it's about time I go.. It's really getting late. Take care, Lucy." Gray said with a gentle smile.

"I will." Lucy blushed, "You take care too."

Gray waved as he walked away. When he left, Lucy entered her apartment and started to write to her mother again.

"Mom, this is the best night I ever had~! Gray actually loves me~! I want it to last forever and ever. Well, I have to sleep now Mom... I'm exhausted. Good night."

The next morning...

Lucy became sick due to too much exhaustion from their last mission. When the news reached to Gray, he decided to visit her.

"Lucy!" Gray touches her forehead, "Man, you really have a fever..."

"Gray.. Don't worry.. I'm gonna be alright.." Lucy coughs.

"Don't over exert yourself.." Gray said with a worried tone on his voice.

"I won't.." She coughs again.

"I'll go buy you some medicine.. So just rest alright?" As Gray said that, he gave Lucy a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Thanks Gray..."

As Gray was about to leave, he took one last glance at his lover. When Lucy noticed, she smiled at him. Gray blushed and smiled back, and with that, he left the apartment to buy some medicine.

When he finally bought the medicine, he hurried back to Lucy's apartment. But on his way back, Natsu called out to him.

"Gray! Where's Lucy?" He asked.

Gray lowered his head, "She has a fever.. So I'm taking care of her..."

Happy teased, "Gray, you l-l-like her don't you?"

Gray shouted, "Will you cut it out?! Lucy's sick and you just tease!? You're no good for pit's sake!!"

Natsu was shocked at what Gray said. This is the first time he ever seen him so serious about someone, "Gray calm down.. It was just a joke." 

"Tch whatever. I'm going back to her apartment.."

After that, Gray trotted off with anger. He thought, "Can't they understand the situation I'm in?! I'm serious about Lucy here, but they just came along and tease. What the hell is wrong with them?!"

"Oh Gray... You're back..!" Lucy smiled and coughed.

Gray prepared the medicine and gave it to Lucy with a worried face, "Here's the medicine.."

"Thanks Gray..."

"You're welcome.."

"Gray, you should go back to the guild.."

"I won't leave you here Lucy.. I'll stay here if I have to.."

"Gray.."

"So rest now, alright?" Gray smiled as he kisses Lucy's forehead.

"Y-Yes..."

Lucy followed Gray's command and she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

The day was over and it was the next day... Lucy woke up and found Gray sleeping next to her..

"Gray..." Lucy cried as she kissed him, "Thank you.."

Then Gray woke up as he felt Lucy's kiss, "L-Lucy? Wh-Why are you crying..?"

"I-I just..." Lucy looked at Gray and cried harder.

"Hush Lucy.." Gray holds her face and he slowly kisses her.

Lucy blushed while crying, "G-Gray.."

"Stop crying now.. I'm here for you.." He said with a relieved tone.
