The Stinging Pain

After all of the events that happened, Gray took Lucy home and let her rest. Gray wondered what happened to her while he was gone. He layed down the blonde on her bed and looked at her with sadness.

"Lucy.. I'm sorry if I wasn't there on time." he held her hand and lowered his head.

"That's.. okay.. I'm just glad that.. you came." the blonde forced a smile.

"So.." Gray let out a sigh, "Did you really thought of Yasuhiro back then?" he hesitantly asked.

Lucy looked away, "Yes. He was like a big brother to me.. I even.. loved him." she muttered, "But that's all in the past." she added.

"I see.."

"How's your stomach by the way? Yasuhiro hurt it pretty badly."

"I still feel this stinging pain. It really hurt. I.. feel like I'm.. paralyzed.."

"Why don't you rest for a bit?" the ice wizard suggested, "It may feel better afterwards." he smiled.

The blonde smiled back, "I will. I want.. to go out with you again.."

Gray went near to Lucy and gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead. After that, he went up and left.

"Gray, how's Lucy?" Cana asked.

"She's.. hurt pretty bad.." he answered with complete depression.

Then Mirajane held his shoulder, "Lucy will be alright. Knowing her, she's a fighter."

"I-I know. But I just can't help worrying about her.."

*LUCY'S POV*

Here I am lying in my bed. Those kicks that Yasuhiro gave me really hurts. I feel like I'm gonna lose consciousness again.. No, I feel like dying.. Those kicks had hit my most vital spot in my stomach.

It's really painful... Please help me..

I'm losing consciousness.. As I closed my eyes, all I see was pure darkness. But then, a light shed. And there I see Gray, lending his hand while smiling.

I see my life.. It's right in front of me. Gray.. I..

*GRAY'S POV*

I can't help worrying about Lucy. I want to see her again. I want to help her feel better. Alright! I'm going to buy her flowers then! She will be so pleased, I'm sure of it.

"Guys! I'm going out for a bit."

"Sure, be careful Gray!"

I walked around the streets of Magnolia to look for a flower shop. I heard that the shop I used to buy flowers was demolished. But they built a new one, so I think it's right around-

"Gray? Is that you?"

I turned around to see who was calling me. It's the old woman who's the owner of the flower shop.

"It is you!" she happily said, "How's Lucy dear?"

"She's resting at her apartment. So got any flowers grams?"

"Why yes! Come in to my shop! I'll let you choose." she sincerely smiled.

When we entered the flower shop, I was quite shocked when I saw many new flowers.

I walked around the shop when I suddenly saw a bouquet that reminded me so much of Lucy. They were yellow flowers, showing off to me with such cheerfulness.

"I'll take these!"

"Sure sure! Say hi to Lucy for me, okay?"

"I will!"

I hope she'll be happy when she saw these. I thought.

I'm standing right in front of Lucy's apartment. Woo, I'm nervous.

"Lucy! I'm coming in!"

But I heard no response. Maybe she's asleep.

I entered her apartment and went to her.

!!

I dropped the flowers that I was holding when I saw a lifeless Lucy.

No.. Sh-She's just sleeping..

But.. Wh-Why is she not breathing?!

Is she.. dead?
