*GRAY'S POV*

There she is. Her body is lying in front of me. Lifeless. Not moving. Not even an inch. I too, can't even move. As I've been aghast. I'm paralyzed. Is this the reality that the gods above want to give me? This.. horrible reality? WHY?! I didn't do anything wrong to deserve this!

Then tears started to flow out of my eyes. I'm crying like a child who just lost his most precious valuable. It hurts. It's too painful. My heart can't bear this pain.

This isn't what I wanted. How am I going to face the guild members for this? What am I going to say? I'm at loss. I can't even speak a single word. All I'm doing right now, is crying. What am I going to do?

I sat beside her. I kept shaking her body. Please Lucy, give me a response. Don't leave me like this. But I got no answer. She's really dead. This is my fault. Why didn't my memories come back in time? If they did, I would've rescued her sooner. And she would've lived. She should be smiling right now. But what happened? She's not alive. She's not smiling. She's just there. LIFELESS like a dead body should.

I looked at her with complete agony. She's so pale.. My only world, is gone. Perished.

I continued crying.

Hours had passed since I saw her. I stopped crying. As if my tears are no longer there. I have no more tears to let out, but the unbearable pain is still there. I need to accept this reality.. I need to tell the members about this.

I lifted Lucy up out of her bed and started walking out of her apartment. As I walked through the streets, people stared at me. I wanted to tell them, What? Haven't you seen a dead body before? But I can't. I still can't speak. Even I try to, it's like my voice is gone.

Then, I arrived at the guild.

"Oh Gray, welcome ba-" The members were just about to give me a warm greeting until they saw Lucy.

Natsu rushed towards us with this shocked expression. His eyes widened, "Wh-What happened to her..?" His voice's trembling.

"Lucy's dead." I answered emotionlessly.

"What..? I-It couldn't be.. She couldn't be dead! Hahaha..! R-Right guys?"

But no one answered.

"C-C'mon! It's all just a joke!" He shook Lucy, "H-Hey Lucy.. You're just sleeping, a-aren't you?"

"....."

"Lucy! Please wake up! Please! Don't leave us like this..!" Happy cried.

"Guys.. That's enough. She won't answer.."

She's gone. I can't seem to swallow those words. I can't bury them in my mind. I still can't accept it. This harsh reality.

It's been weeks since Lucy died. Many people attended her funeral, including her beloved servants. Everyone cried.

Everyone loved her. Natsu cried the most. He kept shouting, "Please give Lucy back to us!! You bastards.. Give her back..!"

Lisanna stopped him. She said, "Natsu.. That's enough.."

Everyone wondered why wasn't I crying. I didn't answer them. But they understand. They didn't speak another word when I didn't answer.

Everyone kept quiet.

Her death changed a lot of things. Her history is now erased. She'll be now in everyone's memories.

Her smiles, her voice, her cheerful face. Her everything.

The woman I loved, has now passed away.
