"What are you doing here?" I asked him as he stood in front of me. Since Mukti was out for some work I was alone.

"Nandini we've to talk." He said.

"About what?" I asked.

"About us. You and me." He said and I sighed.

"I don't want to Manik."

"But we've to. Please for once hear me out." He said. His eyes seemed vulnerable, his appearance everything was vulnerable.

"Come in." I said and he did.

That was when Coco woke up she barked at Manik and he bowed down to let her smell him. When she did she kept quiet, then I occupied seat on my couch and he was in front of me, while Coco jumped onto my lap to cuddle.

"Yes." I said after a few seconds of silence.

"Um.. About the.. Divorce. Do we have to?" He asked very slowly and I was speechless.

"What else can we do?" I asked in a very cold tone.

"Can't we sort out the differences between us?" He asked.

"Its too late." I said.

Yes, I did because it was too late the hearing of our case was tomorrow, and all of a sudden out of nowhere he comes to my place in the evening and asks me to sort this. Where was all this before? He had 3 months to say all this. But he didn't say that.

"Nandini, it isn't that late, we can still be back together." He said and I looked away from his eyes.

"Coco go inside." I said and she looked at me with her puppy eyes I kissed her forehead and she went inside.

"Where was this 3 months ago? Or those 3 months, you're realising it now? Sort out toh tab bhi kar sakte the what happened then?" I asked.

"Nandini, it was all a mistake ok. It was,..  My fault." Manik said with taking pauses.

"Oh Happy Realization Mr. Malhotra."

"Nandini can't we solve this"?" He asked and I got up from the couch.

"No we can't." I said and he got up too. He came closer to me while I stood right there I didn't move a muscle.

"Nandini, it's.. it's been miserable without you. I can't live anymore without you." He said looking into my eyes and a tear dropped from my eyes.

"Hey.. Please don't cry." He wiped my tears.
