New term!
(Age) = Reader's age (duh)
(Age Gap From 49) = Literally what it says. In this story, Krennic is 49.I'm also assuming the reader is a year or more less than Krennic, but if you are the same age or older... well... either pretend you're younger or switch every word that readers 'younger' to 'older.'
I still do not own anything.
==========================================
You wake up in pitch black. Your eyes scan around, looking for something familiar to get a sense of where you are. You hear the soft peeping of something next to you and your eyes are immediately drawn to the sound. There's some small red lights above your head. It takes you a moment to realize that the peeping is from a monitor. The small light from the monitors is enough for your eyes to adjust to the dimness. You can make the faint outlines of a hospital setting. Your nose also detects the sterile hospital smell.Why is it so dark in here? Maybe you are back in space? Or it's night time?
You realize you must have been sitting up because your head starts to feel heavy and you lay back down. You don't remember falling back asleep but when you open your eyes, the room has some natural light flowing into it. You turn your head towards the window and see the tops of a few buildings glimmering in the morning sun. So you haven't left Rikon yet...
Well that made sense, considering the Raider exploded.
The Raider. You had forgotten about the Raider. Was it normal to feel this confused and uncertain after a coma? Or were you just pretending it because that's what always happened in the holomovies? Perhaps that would be a better question to ask when you were feeling better and Krennic was around.
Speaking of Krennic, you had come to realize that he too was in the room. The only difference between you and him was that he was fast asleep in a chair. His head propped up against his fist. He looked like he was going to wake up with a serious jaw and neck cramp from the position he was in.
You found yourself captivated by the way he slept. Call it creepy, but it reminded you of the second day you had been his apprentice. You started to wonder if something was wrong with you.
As you studied him, you began to realize that he had some pretty bad cut marks on him. The most noticeable were on his hands, some of which had scabs on them. Other scars on his body included nicks on his face and exposed parts of his neck. Each scar probably had some major story to it that you were curious to learn about later.
Krennic suddenly groaned and opened his eyes. He stared blankly at the window past you. Then his eyes slowly shifted towards your direction. Suddenly he was wide awake and bounded right to your side. "(Name)! He cried, his eyes flooded with relief.
"Hey," you said, smiling. "What are you doing here?"
"Someone had to watch you sleep," He said. It took him a moment to realize what he said, but when he did, his eyes widened and he began swearing. "Kriff! Reekshite! That was not what I mean to say! Forcing hell-"
You cut him off. "It's okay." Well, normally you would murder whoever would say that to you, but Krennic was... different. You actually felt comfortable with him keeping an eye out for you.
He sighed and sat on the edge of your bed. "Do you remember what happened?"
"We don't have the Raider anymore, that's for sure," You said.
