Chapter 9: He just fell on a rock.

We ended our conversation there. I hang up the phone and just stare at the road. What I didn't want to happen did. Who knows what he's thinking about doing after he's aloud to leave. Bobby takes my hand and asked if I was alright, I just stared into space. Cass taps on my shoulder to get my attention but i just didn't know how to react. Bobby decided to pull over.

"You alright bud?" he asked, I can tell by his voice he didn't like to see me like this, I knew he didn't want to see me like this.

"Um, can you drop Cass and I at the hospital?" He looked confused.

"Why what's up?"

"Someone wants to see me and I need Cass." He didn't ask questions he just started the car and headed to the hospital. The ride was silent, I was shaking from how nervous I was then I thought, How does a coma last for less than twenty four hours, is that even possible?  Probably,  I'm not a doctor. I don't do this medical shit. Bobby was getting nervous, I can tell how every few moments he'd wipe the sweat from his hands on his jeans. It took about a half hour to get there. When Bobby kissed  and said goodbye I could tell he wanted to come but I convinced him not to be so worried.

Cass and I went to inside the hospital; I could tell she knew that there was something thing up. It came out eventually when stayed at the water fountain for five minutes.

"Alright, who are we here for?" she said looking at me and crossing her arms. I had no idea how I could tell her that we were visiting someone who almost killed me the day before. I just shrugged my shoulders and asked the front desk where Luke's room was. The nurse escorted us to the room and opened the door and there he was; beaten and bruised.

"I see why you didn't want Bobby to come." said Cass.

" I didn't even want to come." I said as I walked into room. Luke reached his hand out for me, so I came in closer.

"Glad you came." He could barely get the words out of his mouth, his voice was scratching against his throat.

"Why did you want to see me?"

"I'm dying." Wait..what!? Cass and I looked at each other with our jaws dropped.

   "What?!"

"Yeah..the rock I fell on...plus the bump from the gun.." If he dies...it's all my fault.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!"

"It's fine...it's not your fault, it's Bobby's."

"Actually it's yours.." Cass interrupted.

    "Shut up Cass." He snapped.

"Wanna loose your remaining teeth?" She growled. His eyes got all big.

"Anyways, I need to ask you for something."

     "Yeah?" I asked.

"Can I please...have one more...ki-" a doctor came in with some test results for what it looks like.

"Alright Mr. Gera, it seems to be alright you should have three more days to be okay. Just take these pills and your head will start to feel better." Cass burst out laughing.

"Wait what are his pills for?" I asked giving Luke the 'really?' look.

"Pain killers, for his concussion." the doctor replied.

"They said he was in a coma!"

"A coma? No, no, it wasn't that bad; he just landed on a rock."

"Then who said? You know what? Never mind." I went to walk out but Cass walked in and when I say she back handed Luke; she back handed Luke. The doctor was going to escort Cass out but she was already heading out. I gave her a high five and we went in the parking lot to call Bobby but he was already in the parking lot waiting.

"How'd it go?" he asked.

"Great;  I got to smack a hoe." Cass said smirking.

"What? Why?"

"They deserved it" I said hugging him. He was so confused I didn't even care. The only thing I cared about was what am I going to do in three days?
