Chapter 20: we are in public.

"Ding Dong!" I yelled getting the door

after the bell rang. I opened the door to find two girls just walking in like they own the place.

"Bobby! I'm here." The blonde one yelled  switching binders from one arm to the other. Bobby poked his head from the kitchen and walked over.

"Jessica!" He said as he walked over and hugged her.

"Where is our bride?" She asked kissing his cheek. I awkwardly walked over and wrapped my arm around Bobby's waist.

"Right here." I quietly said.

"Okay! Let's get started." The other girl said as she headed to the living room. 

"Who's that?" Bobby asked Jessica.

"Jessi."

"Jess and Jessi?"

"That's our business name."

"Catchy." I said.

"Thank you." She smirked and walked into the living room. We walked into the living room and I sat on the love seat next to Bobby and held his hand. Jess and Jessi placed big binders and scrapbooks on the table infront of us and sat on the couch which was on the other side of the table.

"First things first. You're wedding dress. What does it look like?" Jessi asked.

"I don't quite have one yet.." I responded.

"What are you waiting for?! I'll call your friends then you guys can go try and find one, while we help out with what Bobby can handle."

"Wha- Bobby?"

"You'll be fine." He reassured.

"Cass, Bria, baby! Come to Bobby's instantly! It's a wedding emergency." Jessi said as she's on a the phone. I thought assistants only speak like that in the movies!

"Oh did you get their numb-" I started.

"Bobby." She said.

      As we waited for them to show up the four of us started planning where it's going to be, when it's going to happen, and what flowers. When we heard a car beep Jessi scooted me out the door. I went inside Cass' car and Bria was in the backseat.

"Why are you in the back? You were here first" I asked Bria laughing.

"Because I'm black."

"Oh?" Cass pulled out of the driveway and as we go to turn someone pulled in the driveway. I look closely in their side view mirrors and saw Devynn. I told Cass to stop the car real quick so I could go see what's up. I got of the car than ran to the car door to see Devynn searching through her purse. She looked up and saw me then jolted.

"You scared me! Oh jeez!" She said covering her mouth laughing. Cass beeps her horn and we both turn to her.

"Get in loser, we're going shopping!" Cass said poking her head out the window. Devynn got out of her car and we walked to the car. Devynn sat next to Bria and I sat next to Cass again up front. Devynn kept asking were we were going but I wouldn't tell her so she could be surprised. It took about twenty minutes of listening to Devynn beg, Cass make puns, and Bria calling me a hermit. Then we finally made it to the place Jessi had given us the address to. As we walked out of the car and passed the wedding dresses in the window display Devynn's blue eyes glowed as they looked into the window then back into mine.

"Oh my gosh! Who's getting married?!"

"That Hermit right there." Bria said pointing and jumping.

"No. Way." She stared at me, covering her mouth and opening her eyes wide.

"Yes way!" I said showing her the ring on my finger.

      We walked in the store and immediately someone came to meet us at the door. They escorted us to our area where I guess Jessi had already reserved. As I walk into the room I see Lauren, Sarah and my mom. I was glad Jessi did this. The lady had asked us my budget and I really didn't know what it was so I texted Bobby. His reply was; and I quote "There isn't a limit on my Gooby." Well too bad because I set a limit on myself anyways.

    Everyone picked out one dress for me and I tried them on.

Devynn chose a Alita Graham Sweetheart A-line Gown in Lace dress; it fit beautiful but it didn't say 'me.'  Cass and Bria chose the same dress by accident but it was a Michelle Roth Sweetheart Ball Gown in Organza; when I say this dress was gorgeous, I mean it was gorgeous. It was white on top and shaded into a beautiful silver. When I exit wearing the dress everyone's eyes were glued on me. Mom's eyes were filling with tears.

"Gorgeous, Christina." She said almost breaking down. Lauren and Sarah came behind her and patted her back.

"Just wait until our pick. It's perfect for her." Sarah said giving Mom a tissue box. They had picked their's together. They had selected a Alita Graham Sweetheart Ball Gown in Beaded Embroidery. They were right. It was perfect for me. It was a shade of white but not a complete white. At the top the pattern design was amazing and the bottom had three layers making a 'poof-ish' look. It was amazing. It truly was perfect. I walked out of the dressing room and their mouths dropped. Lauren and Sarah looked at each other and High-fived. My mom was balling her eyes from excitement.

"Oh Christina! Gorgeous. Beautiful. Hot. Pretty. Every name in the book." Mom said walking up and hugging me.

"Mooom."I say as I squeezed her tight.

"AWE MY LITTLE HERMIT IS SO GORGEOUS!!" Bria screamed.

"Brianna Nicole Kelly we are in public."

   "I don't even care dude." She said laughing.

"So...is this it?" The lady asked.

"Yes," I responded then I got really excited and jumped up and down. "I say yes to the dress!"
