Chapter 24: Wait for the honeymoon.

"And that's when I knew, we were going to be best friends for eternity." Lauren ended her Maid of Honor speech. Yes, Lauren ended up being my Maid of Honor; I took a lot of thought into it to realize she's the reason I made it so far in my career. Her speech brought tears to my eyes; when she was done I ran up to her and hugged her tight. I had finally got to change out of my wedding dress to a black dress I wore at the NMPA meeting; it stopped above my knees, covered my shoulders but had a rip pattern down the sleeves. The speeches from the bridesmaids and groomsmen were over and now it was time to party! After about an hour or so, I went on stage and made my way to Lucas that I had already set up. I connected my mic and tapped it three times then everyone's eyes were on me.

"Hello friends and family, I just wanted to sing a well known song for the guy who has decided to marry me after knowing all my flaws, and sticking through with me when times got rough. This is for you Bobby." I pressed my fingers against the keyboard, enjoying the rush it gave me. I sang With Love with so much love I almost cried. The excitement was reeling it's way through me and I sang those high notes easier than I ever have. When I was done I looked up from my keyboard and saw everyone cheering and Bobby was in the middle of the dance floor smiling. I rushed off the stage and jumped into his arms.

"That was beautiful; as always." He whispered, not even trying to let go of me.

"Thanks Bobby."

"You're beautiful," He faintly says. "How did I get so lucky? Just how? How can the most caring, beautiful, amazing girl I know love a guy that's just plain idiotic, stupid, worthl-"

"Hey, you aren't any of those things. Definitely not worthless; don't ever call yourself worthless. I love you for you. I don't like it when you do this; when you put yourself down, gosh, I-"

"Christina, it's fine; I get it. I'm sorry." He leaned his head back and looked into my eyes as he set me down. He pecked my lips and placed one hand on my waist and the other waiting for mine. I put my hand on his shoulder and the other one on his. Simultaneously, as soon as I placed my hand on his, Bria started singing Wild Horses and everyone circled around the dance floor. They clearly planned it out by the weird face Bria made me when I turned around. I leaned my head on his shoulder and he pulled me in more.

"I love you so much." I whispered.

"I love you more Gooby." He whispered back.

"I love you more than anything the world can provide me."

"Even Team Grimmie?" He laughed.

"Don't get to crazy but it's a close tie."

"Well, I love you to the moon and back; you know what? Never mind I don't."

"Wait, what?!" I snapped my head up and looked in his eyes.

"Going to the moon would mean I would have to leave you. I would never leave you, ever."

"You scared me." I said jokingly as I laid my head back down on his shoulder.

"We wouldn't be here if I didn't love you like crazy."

"I love you." I said once more before I lifted my head and kissed him. Sparks flew through my mind and chills went through my body. There was something new about his kisses now. The way he showed so much passion. Bria finished the song and spoke through the mic,

"Hermit. Wait for the honeymoon." Everyone laughed; of course I laughed as well. A few moments later Breanna came up and asked if we could talk, so of course I said sure. We walked to the side so I could hear her clearly.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked.

"I just haven't talked to you in a while! Gosh and you're married! If only Drew was here to see you now."

"Well, he shouldn't have crossed lines, ya know?"

"Yeah, yeah. Wow. You're stunning, boy did Luke let you slip out of his hands." I haven't even thought about Luke. I completely forgot about him. After everything that happened I pushed everything I knew, or felt about him away. Just his name being brought up made my blood boil with anger. Flashes of the day he pushed me down the stairs; the day he pointed the gun to my head; and later that day when he nearly choked me to death. My head started pounding. I'm guessing that my face showed some what of a sick expression, considering she asked me if I was alright.

"Yeah..I'm fine. I just need some water, I guess." I replied. She saw Bobby with a bottle of water and motioned him over.

"Are you getting sick? Are you alright? Gosh, what happened?" He threw multiple questions at me. I reached out for the water and he handed it to me. I took a few sips then calmed down.

"I'm fine; thank you."

"Are you sure?" He asked so concerned.

"Yes Bobby, I promise. Go have fun," He nodded his head and went to dance while I continued the conversation. "Sorry about that Bree, um what were you saying?"

"You're beautiful?"

"Oh yes, thank you. As are you."

"Haha naw," She practically died laughing. "I'll be over there; go have fun with your man!" She went and sat by my parents and they were chatting up a storm. I went back to Bobby and every one was having a blast; for hours we sang and danced. When the reception was over, Bobby and I were at the doors saying bye to everyone; we got lots of "Congratulations!" "Have fun you two." "I loved the dress!" "Use protection."(Bria.) "Bye!" and "Have a great time."

My parents wanted us to go finish packing for our honeymoon but we insisted on helping clean up. When we were done we left and went home and finished packing for Hawaii!
