Beep beep beep beep beep.
I turned over and began to slap my alarm as the door flew open, followed by some cheering. Searching for my pillow with my eyes squeezed tight, I hurled it toward the door where the loud noise was coming from. This occurs every single first day off school in my household, lucky for me it was not my sister this time.
"Daniel! It's time to go to school; I just can't believe my baby is growing up so fast!" My mother half cries as I try to squirm under my blanket. Just as I was about comfortable I feel a tugging feeling at the end of the blanket and before I knew it the blanket was on the floor.
I sigh, "Alright mom. What do you want from me on this fine morning of my first day of senior year?"
"Just a hug before you get ready for school," she smiles. I sit up as she gives me a hug, leaving straight after the hug. I dig around for a clean pair of clothes before heading to the shower was so I could wash off.
Minutes later I was out of the shower changed, besides styling my hair which I do, before I headed down the stairs to get something to eat. By the time I had arrived in the kitchen there was food plated and ready for me to eat. My mom was nowhere to be found but chocolate chip pancakes sat on the island along with some syrup. I really wished that she would had stayed here before leaving to go work since it is my first day of senior year.
I grab my bag before heading out the door as my phone vibrated in my pocket. I dug through my jean pocket for my keys to the house before locking it up. Placing them back I grabbed my phone to read the text I received.
Unknown Number: Meet me at my locker this morning. Sorry I haven't texted you. I have been caught up in things that I needed to sort out before I could do anything. Daniel if you really are a nice person and not at jock you will do meet me at my locker. -Phoebe
I quickly saved her number in my phone as I realized that I needed to leave in order to make it to the school so I could talk to Phoebe. I replied a simple "I will" before driving to school.
Simply grabbing my bag I enter the school to see Liam with his arm around his girlfriend. He raises his arm indicating for me to come and join them. I point down the hallway before I hurry down to where I believe Phoebe's locker is. Just as I round the corner I bump into this girl with pin straight black hair.
"Gosh, watch where you are going! Seriously. I didn't come to school to be bumped into by fools," she growls before realizing who I was. "Damn Danny. Please, you know how I get when people bump into me."
"Sorry Anna," I reply.
She rolls her eyes, "I know. Just don't like it when people bump into me. Just brings back way to many unfortunate memories."
"I know Anna. Now if you would excuse me, I have to meet somebody this morning," I smile.
She nods, "I won't keep you any longer. I hope we have some classes together but if not I'll see you later Danny." She didn't wait long after she said that to continue walking away from where I was standing. I ignore the disappointment from not being able to speak to Anna but I had to get to Phoebe so it didn't look like I was ignoring her. I want to prove to her that I'm not the person she thinks I am.
I round another corner when I catch glimpse of Phoebe standing at her locker. She brushes her hair back as she stares into to her locker at the mirror. She turns her head to see me standing at the end of the hallway before motioning for me to come and join her. Taking a deep breath, I walk over to where she was currently standing.
