Recall: Doing Love Over

Chapter Three

        Two months have official past since I decided to talk to Phoebe in the hall way at school. Our relationship grew closer and closer as I realize that she has an amazing personality. She has begun to sit with my other friends and me at lunch. Her eyes were always brighter when she talked to me and she almost seemed to lose the attitude toward me.

        Just as I was standing in line I felt somebody poke me from behind. Turning my head I notice Phoebe almost dancing around in happiness.

        "Hey Phoebe. What do I owe this happy occasion too?" I ask handing her a chocolate milk.

        She gladly takes it, "I don't know. I woke up in a good mood. It actually surprises me in how great of a mood I'm in."

        "Awesome, I'll pay for your lunch," reply handing the cafeteria lady money for both of our lunches.

        "But Daniel! You know that's not fair for you," she raises an eyebrow.

        I shake my head, "No its fine. You've been sitting with me for the past two months and I figure it’s time that I finally pay for your lunch."

        "If you insist, thank you Daniel."

        "It isn't a problem Phoebe. Come let's go sit down at the table so we can actually eat our food." We walk to the table, placing the food down on it.

        "So," Phoebe begins as she sits down. "Are you working anytime soon?"

        "Not anytime soon. I think the next time I'm working is next Monday. But I'll always go in if Lisa needs me to come in and help."

        "Lisa was right when she told me that you were a good hire."

        "It's how you move up in this world. Hey Phoebe, are you doing anything tonight?"

        "No, not anything I can think of at the minute."

        "Do you want to go to the movies with me tonight?"

        "Is this your way of asking me on a date?"

        "No, I'm simply asking you if you would like to go to the movies tonight with me."

        "Sounds like a date in my opinion."

        "No, its not."

        "Yes it is Danny. Do I get to pick the movie if we go?"

        "As long we aren’t seeing a chick flick film!"

        "Ew, I wouldn't go to one of those if you paid me to go and see it. What about an action movie or something along those lines."

        "I enjoy action movies. I guess we have similar tastes when it comes to genres of movies."

        "This seriously sounds like a date in my opinion."

        I roll my eyes, "Phoebe Jasmine, would you go on a date with me to the movies to see an action movie."

        "Yes Daniel Harrison, I would be honored to go with you to the movies with you. See that wasn't so hard was it?"

        "Now its officially a date. I'll pick you up from your house. Were something casual please?"

        "Jeans and a dressy shirt work for you?" She asks eating her food.

        I nod, "Its up to you. It's just the movies we are going to."

        "What is this I hear about my bro taking this lovely lady on a date to the movies now?" Liam questions us as he sits across from us. Moments later his girlfriend sat down next to him as she gives a simple eyebrow wiggle. Phoebe glances at me for help as Liam and Julia stare at us.
