Jessica's POV
3 more days...just 3 more days until I leave this hell whole place called work & home with Layla. Layla & I have been best friends since 2nd grade. She's been there for me through anything & in 3 days we finally get to go on the trip of dreams to Paris! Anyways, I'm currently working a little diner located in my hometown of Boca Raton, Florida. I am currently 17, but on June 26th I'll be 18.
"Jess, you got table 3!!" Layla shouted from across the diner.
"Coming!!"
Oh god...why must it be the most annoying bitches in my whole school or aka the "post-it's". They're like post it notes. They stick to every guy they get their hands on.
"Hi Camille, uh what can I get you?" I ask, trying to be nice.
"What can I get here that has no sugar, no carbs, and is fat free?"
"Water." I respond.
"Why do you have to be so bitchy, diner girl?" she asks.
Me? Bitchy? Please. Ever since we were little she's always had something to pick on me for.
"I was just telling you the truth."
"Can we just get salad with non fat dressing?"
"Yea, anything else??"
"Oh! I'll take a non fat latte with
sugar free sprinkles." her friend Gretchen asked."Sorry, hun, were not that fancy."
"What the hell are the post it's doing here? Shouldn't they be at Olive Garden or something where it's more fancy and expensive?" Layla asks.
"Who knows. Gretchen literally asked for sugar free sprinkles"
"Are you serious? Oh my god, they are such airheads. But hey! We graduate tomorrow AND we leave for Paris on Sunday!" She exclaimed.
"Thank god. I cannot stand this place any longer. I just can't wait to be in the city of love and hopefully find love"
"It's so cute how you're such a dreamer. But maybe you will. I heard Justin will be there." She says as she nudges me with her elbow and winks.
"Oh my god, are you serious? Justin is going to be in Paris??" I asked excitingly.
"Yes! Well that's at least what I read on twitter this morning."
"Can you imgine, us meeting our idol on our dream trip? It would honestly be the best thing to ever happen to us."
"Girl, yes. This needs to happen."

Finally graduation day! Just 2 more days!
"Jessica! C'mon we're going to be late!" my mom shouted from downstairs.
"Yea I'll be down in a minute!!"
"Hey Jess, guess what?!" my brother Derek asks while standing in the doorway of my room.
"What? I'm trying to get ready"
"Don't be getting salty with me. I'm joining you and Layla in Paris!" He says.
"What!? Since when!?"
"Since today! Mom checked to see if there was any seats left on your flight and there is!"
"Oh my god, I'm so glad you're coming with us! I low key wanted you to come with because besides Layla, you're my best friend & honestly, we'll need some extra fashion advice, aha"
"Bitch please, you know you don't need my advice! Look at you! You're going to be the prettiest girl there at that graduation."
"Thanks, Derek. You're the best brother a girl could ask for."
If you didn't catch it by now, yes my brother is gay & so so happy that's he not afraid to be who he really is. He also loves Justin just as much as I do.
After the graduation ceremony
"Picture time!!" my mom shouts.
"Mom please, you got enough before and during."
"Layla!! Come here and get a picture with Jess!"
"Of course!!" Layla exclaims.
"Okay you're like the only exception because I don't have a pic with you yet." I say to Layla.
"1, 2, 3...okay, just a couple more!!"
"Mom. I just want to go eat alreadyyy. Let's goooo."
"Seriously, mom. I'm starving." Derek says.
At dinner; Mongolian BBQ
"Veggie stir fry with chicken, yes please." I say.
"I thought you were going vegan like all the celebs nowadays?" my mom asks.
"I mean I want too, but maybe not full vegan? I don't know. I'm still kinda transitioning I guess."
"Did Derek tell you he's going to Paris with you?"
"Yes, and I'm so happy he's going!"
"Y'all talkin about me?" Derek asks, as he sits down with his food.
"Yea, Mom asked if you told me that you're going to Paris with me" I say.
"Oh yea! I told her, she freaked out. And now we're even more excited to go!" Derek says.
"Great! When we get home tonight, we need to start getting the house ready for your grad party tomorrow. Did you finish your picture boards?" Mom asks.
"Yes. I have them in my room all finished. I'm going to set up the photo booth tonight and get the props ready."
"Awesome. The more we set up today, the better."

"Thank you for coming!" as I say goodbye to party guest who are leaving.
This whole day has been perfect. So much of my family and friends have come to celebrate which is amazing!
My mom & Nonna have made so much food, Layla's mom brought over little cupcakes covered in pink swirly frosting and pearl sprinkles (so my aesthetic though!), Derek made Jell-O shots, which of course I snuck a few since they are alcoholic & Nonna would kill me for drinking underage.
"So, Jessica. What time are you and Layla leaving tomorrow?" Nonna asks.
"We leave here for the airport around 6:30. Plain leaves at 8:45 and we'll get there about 7pm our time but like 1am Paris time."
"Oh that's not so bad. By the time you guys are tired enough to sleep, it'll be the middle of the night."
"Yeah, that's why we did it this way. I mean, we don't go to sleep until late anyways."
"Are you guys going things on your own or will you have a tour guide?"
"We'll have a tour guide. I'm hoping things won't rushed though."
"Well, safe travels babydoll. You text me when you get to the hotel."
"Haha, I will Nonna. Don't worry."
Let me know what you think! Yes, I did already write this story, but I wanted to rewrite it more professionally and update it.
