You wake up. Head was pounding. Stomach hurting. Parts of your face were bleeding, mostly your lips, near your eyes, and nose. You fully open your eyes and it hurt to do so. You saw your mom, dad, brother, and your friends who were at that party last night, which you had to take a slight rain check on. You were confused as to what happened and what was currently happening.
"What? What are you all doing here? What am I doing here?!" You started to panic and were so confused.
"Honey, you're fine. You were beaten up pretty bad by some gang last night. You're completely okay though. You have a few injuries, mostly on the outside but you do have a head injury. Not too serious though. Thank the Lord." Your mom said from where she was sitting, which was right next to you on the bed.
"What's wrong with my head?" You asked, a bit worried. Okay, a lot worried.
"You have a slight memory loss for now." Your dad said who was behind your brother.
"For now?"
"Well, you can't remember anything from the attack last night. Who was there, what happened, where you were or anything. Nothing. But the doctor says you'll remember in a day or two," Your dad said. "For now, you need to get some rest."
"Wait!" You stopped them. "W-who saved me?"
"We don't know. He wants to remain anonymous until he meets you." Your brother said, holding your hand. You laid your head down and started to tear up. You would've been dead if it wasn't for him.
"When will I meet him?" You asked but all they did was shrug their shoulders and walk out of the room, saying one final goodbye. You tried to remember what happened last night but it was all a blur. You still couldn't move your body. 'Does he even want to meet me? Why'd he save me? And why would he want to remain anonymous?' You thought to yourself. You tried answering your own questions but it was no use. You could barely think after all of this. The doctor came into the room and talked to you for a bit about how much you remembered. If you remembered your own name, the alphabet, numbers, all that stuff he still had to check.
With every question that he asked you tried to give a full answer but you couldn't remember. He wrote everything down on a clipboard and went over to his computer and recorded it. You lay there completely motionless. It was hard to breathe. You were handed a mirror earlier and saw what you looked like. You had a swollen eye, bruises everywhere, your nose was bleeding, the lip was cut open and had to be stitched up. You looked awful.
You didn't want to see what the rest of your body looked like. And you most certainly did not want your boyfriend to see you like this. Not that you cared much. You gave the doctor your boyfriends name, telling him that if he wanted to see me, to not let him in. No matter what. You did not want to see him. Whenever you were with him or went out on a date with him, you came home looking pretty much what you looked like now. You knew he hated you. And you knew that he knew you hated him. You tried getting out of the relationship but he threatened you and your family. Saying that he'll hurt or even kill your family.
All he wanted from me was to use me. And all I wanted from him was nothing. He was stupid, self-centered, and always bragged about how rich he was. He probably had another girlfriend. You wouldn't doubt it for a second. If he was let in here, he'd probably finish you off with his bare hands. You were scared that he'd be let in but you made sure he wasn't.
You fell asleep while thinking all of this and had a weird dream. A dream.....more like a nightmare: It was evening time and you were still lying in the same hospital bed. You heard a knock on the door and you said as loudly as you could, 'come in', and the doctor came in and said that there was a guy outside that wanted to see you. And in came Brady Lakeman. Your abusive boyfriend. Your eyes had fear in them. The doctor noticed this and tried to make up a fake excuse so Brady could leave, but Brady would not listen. He walked slowly closer to you.
