The first slow dance of the night was far from awkward. In fact, we were so used to each other, that it was almost natural. At most, we were hand holders, but as the song played, we didn't have an awkward staring contest. He would make me laugh, occasionally, and whisper things in my ear. Most of the night was just a blur, and I couldn't remember any of the songs that were played.

The slow dances were traditional slow songs, like Christina Perri and Jason Mraz, but nobody cared about that. Everyone was dancing with somebody, even if it was their friend.

"You look extremely beautiful, Paige," Luke whispered into my ear. I sustained my blush by hiding my head in his shoulder while he chuckled.

"If you were to see me tomorrow, I won't be trying as hard." As I pulled my head back so I could face him, our cheeks brushed and it was the cutest thing- ugh I swear. "But, you look extremely handsome. And hot, but really handsome."

He smiled. I took that moment to realise how close we were, and it was comfortable. I never thought that after growing up extremely awkward and hating when people touched me, that I would enjoy it this much. To be honest, I was really surprised that we weren't tired of each other yet.

"All guys look hot in tuxedos, come on," said Luke, he then rested his forehead on mine.

"Not all," I shrugged. "Calum doesn't." I mean, I was joking, but the kid does look like a dork with it on. And yeah, he went with Hunter. Honestly, they're super cute. Luke shrugged as he looked at the two beside us, then back to me with his dangerously blue eyes boring into mine.

"All girls look great in dresses," he said. "But you're the only one I wanna look at."

"You're flirting with me," I said with little emotion as I raised my eyebrow. His lips twitched gently into a smile. "You always flirt like in a mean way, this is just too much," I softly chuckled, pecking him on his pouting lips.

"Fine then, you're so annoying," he fake-groaned and I gave him a smile. "And that means you're so amazing."

"You're an idiot, and that means you're idiot," I smugly replied, earning a scoff from the skyscraper boy in front of me.

"Thanks, love you too," Luke said with a sarcastic tone. Soon after, the final slow dance song was over, and bunches of people groaned. I took a step back, but he quickly removed his hand from my waist to grab me by the arm and pull me into him for a deep kiss. Once we let go, he blushed while whispering, "I told myself that I couldn't leave here without doing that at least once."

"You should probably do that more than just once," I responded, causing him to snicker and take me away from the crowd. As the DJ announced that they were playing the last song for the night, we were on our way to sit with Hunter and Calum, who were flirting their asses off at table away from the population of this building.

"Hey, Paige," said Hunter with a gentle smile on her face, probably because she was flattered with something her date had told her. "You look really beautiful."

"Thanks, you, too," I replied and instantly wished I had gone to the bathroom instead of come over here.

"Are you guys leaving soon?" asked Calum. Beside me, Luke shrugged. I couldn't believe the night was already over.

"I guess we will," Luke told him and looked at the wall clock. "If I'm not home in the next 30 minutes, John will turn me to a pulp." I cringed. "We'll see you guys later."

"Bye!" I told them and gave Calum an extra wink. Truthfully, I felt like we were leaving almost too early, but it looked like Luke was somewhat eager to say or do something. "What's up?" I eventually asked him.
