•Chapter Nine•

Daniella Lopez P.O.V.

I unlock the door, and step through it.

"Hello?" I blurt out, checking if there's someone else in Logan's apartment.

"Dani?" I look to where the voice is coming from to see Alyaa.

"Surprise!" I exclaim as I bring her into a hug.

"I've been wanting to see you for so long." Aylaa tells me as she pulls away.

"Me too. I need to head to a restaurant cause I'm meeting up with someone..." I explain as I grab my headphones from the table.

"We can meet up later on..." I add before I head out the door and to my next destination.

I turn on the music to my old favorite station, expecting 'Despacito' or some sort of popular music.

But no, it's my single that I recorded three months ago but it wasn't suppose to come out. EVER!

I take my phone from beside me and dial Terri's number.

"Hello? You rang?" Terri jokes when she answers my call.

"My song. Its on the radio!" I'm not mad at whoever published it but actually happy at whoever because I get a change of becoming something bigger. Something better.

•Who knows the song that goes 'bigger and better?... I swear it's from high school musical•

"NO WAY MAN!" Terri yells, making me laugh.

I turn the volume louder for her to hear as I head to twitter to publish this amazing news.

"KINKY MUCH!!!" How does kinky relates to this?

I sit down in front of a small table which in the other side contains another person.

"We need to talk." The person says.

"Don't you think I'm here for a nice piece of muffin?" I say sarcastically.

"Look, I know that you don't like me. I'm not sure why because I haven't done anything wrong." I add as I look up at Jack.

"I don't want you with Jonah." He blurts out.

"Look, I don't want to hurt him. I actually really really like him." I confess, making Jack laugh.

"You don't, you're using him for views, followers, and attention." Jack says things that don't even make sense.

"Yeah sure, if that's what you think." I exclaim.

"What do you think?" Jack asks.

"I think I really really like him... I mean, whenever he walks into the room it's like everyone else disappears. When I'm mad, and he's presence is there. It calms me down. I'm not sure how to put it, but it's different from what I felt for Nash. When I get a notification from him, I want to open it as quickly as possible. This sounds dumb, but I really want to be with Jonah...  And I want your permission, if I don't then I'll dump him." I reply, leaving him stoned.

"I- Fine. I give you permission but if you hurt him, I'll destroy you." Jack lets out.

"Damn boy, little aggressive there." I mumble, and he gives me a  look.

"It doesn't means that I like you and that I want to be-friend you." Jack says, I grab my stuff and stand up.

"Well this was a nice  chat, but I got a new meeting that came up few hours ago." I tell him before I leave, driving to my next destination.

I don't really have another meeting but I just want to relax, for a while.

I check all the letters that I got on the mail, most of them are slightly stupid... Except one which is from Island Records.

I scan the letter few times, not believing whatever's in front of me.

They want to offer me a contract, a record label... But I'll have to leave California and move to New York.

And I just came back, I can't leave.

I dial the number of the person that can help me the best with this, Gina.

3 RING-

"Hello?" Gina says as she answers the phone call.

"I just got this letter from Island Records, they want to offer me a record label." I tell her.

"IM SO PROUD!" Gina exclaims.

"But I'll have to move to New York and leave California all behind." I add, and her line goes silent.

"Damn, this is bad." Gina mumbles.

"I know its bad, that's why I'm calling you." I tell her.

"How long do you have to decide?" She asks.

I scan the letter again and see the deadline.

"I got exactly a month to think about it."

"Okay, thats long enough to make a decision. Talk to Jonah, and I'm not sure then."

"Thank you." I hang up the phone and put the letter against my refrigerator.

One month, hopefully that's long enough for me to make a decision... But I can't ruin my future, the hope of becoming a pop star because of a guy. I cant let any guy affect my future.

DING

I look down at my phone to see a text message from Jake Paul... I mean, Jake and I used to be best friends for awhile but then drama happened and we stopped. I think, at least.

Jake Paul🤦🏻‍♀️ :Dinner party tonight. You better show up. 0478 blue flower street. 7pm

I slide my finger across the screen, typing a reply.

Me: I'll try to be there, but no promises

I want to go, but at the same time I shouldn't because I havent talk to anyone from Team 10 in awhile. Plus, Tessa Brooks will probably be there and I don't want to face her.

So should I?
